How To Dry Herbs
Work best for:
Air drying works best for low-moisture like marjoram, oregano, rosemary and dill.
What to do:
Trim fresh herbs at an angle to protect the rest of the plant. Put the bundle of herbs, stem-side up.
Hang or over a week, ideally in a cool, dark place.
Storage:
Herbs are best stored in airtight glass containers. They're uses range from cooking, tea, tincture, even decoration.
Drying:
Gather 5-10 branches together and tie with string or a rubber band. The smaller the bundle, the easier and faster they will dry.

Ingredients:
⢠Rosemary - to rid space of negativity
⢠Lavender - purification
⢠Allspice - protection
⢠Bay Leaves - strength and wisdom
⢠Clove - comfort and mental strength
⢠Flax - protection and healing
⢠Sea Salt

⢠White wax to seal
⢠Fire-safe jar/candle holder to hold the candle
⢠Jar for your spell
⢠Protection sigil (the image below is an example, but feel free to use any protection sigil)
Process:
⢠Gather your ingredients. Center and ground yourself. Cleanse your space using sage or other cleansing herbs
⢠Light your candle
⢠Place the ingredients into the jar while focusing your intentions on protection. Keep in mind this jar is also designed to remind you of your personal strength, so picking an intention that encapsulates both protection and strength is best
⢠Once youâve placed all of the ingredients into the jar, seal with wax from the candle. Continue to focus on locking your intention inside of the jar
⢠Once the jar is sealed, blow or snuff out the candle. Place the jar on your alter or carry with you for protection and personal strength
Can you use mushrooms in spells? If so what kind of spells and what kind of mushrooms? Sorry to bother you?
No worries, lovely, youâre never a bother! đMushrooms are some of my favourite organisms out there. The part that we see is the fruiting body of the fungi, while the vast majority of the mushroom is kind of like a root system..kind of⌠itâs the mycelium that absorbs nutrients from whatever substrate the mushroom is living on. đI love to use mushrooms in any magic that involves the life/death cycle since they help break down decaying matter and make new life from it. You can also use them in magic that has to do with the âunseenâ (like a âshow me what Iâm missing sort of spell) since the mushroom body, what we see, is only a very small portion of the organism. đThey could also be used in cursing to help âbreak downâ something or someone thatâs already a little broken, while bringing that thingâs/personâs ânutrientsâ (energy) to you. đKnow thy Fungi. Some fungi thrive on living wood, while some need decaying matter. Some work solely with one type of wood (chaga and birch for example) and doing magic that uses both of those would be extra great. So pay attention to the needs of that fungi and you can use those traits in your spell. i.e. Abundance magic with a fungi that needs a living host would be wonderful.đSome cautionsâŚDonât handle any mushrooms unless you can positively ID them. While most arenât dangerous to just touch, you dont really want to risk getting spores on your hands and then touching your mucous membranes (eyes, nose, mouth.) Farm raised mushrooms are just as great for magic, though I totally understand the inherent energy of foraged mushrooms. Morels, chicken of the woods, and hen of the woods are some easy-ish to identify mushrooms for beginners. But please always check with an experienced forager beforehand! â¨To support me:  Get tarot reading | Buy me a coffee | Donate to my Educationâ¨Help Paul get MS treatment

â˝ little tips for witches âž
here I will leave some very useful tips for those who have been in practice for some time, as well as for beginners. I hope this text will illuminate and help each one on their way! â¨
âââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
⢠to do energy cleaning in your home, put in a glass: water, coarse salt and charcoal. position it behind the entrance door.
⢠bury egg shells in a pot or in your home garden to ensure abundance and fertility in your home.
⢠do not put the ashes left over from the incense out, they can be reused in making the black salt.
⢠burn dry rosemary to attract protection, purification, psychic abilities and openness for healing.
⢠to attract positive energies to you, spread several mirrors around your home, just avoid those with sharp details on your edge. they also help to clear the mind.
⢠to ward off any bother that is bothering you, write the key words of the situation on a white candle. light the candle and ask the fire beings to burn this evil that you want to destroy.
⢠spread blackheads under the bed for protection during your sleep.
⢠make a wreath with chamomile flower and hang it on the door to protect the environment throughout the year from physical and spiritual damage.
⢠use cinnamon to improve your individual skill with prophecy through divination, channeling and working with oracles.
⢠when making your own oils, use olive oil and dried herbs of your choice.
⢠press and store rosemary leaves in your books. this will increase your wisdom during your studies and your memory, making you learn more easily.
⢠burn some thyme on your altar to clean up your magic space. thyme when burned with incense strengthens psychic power.
Too much light! đż đż
â¨Room Cleansing Spray â¨
This is perfect for those who want to cleanse the area before spellwork but canât/donât want to burn sage or palo santo! Itâs also a great little pick me up and itâs very useful for grounding and centering if you use himalayan salt.
You Will Need:
- a spray bottle
- himalayan salt (protection, cleansing, grounding & centering) or sea salt (protection, cleansing, purification)
- preferably moon water but tap water is ok
- optional: dried rose petals (protection)
- lavender essential oil (purification)
- clary sage essential oil (protection, clarity, cleansing)
- tea tree essential oil (protection, purification and aura cleansing)
- definitely not optional: witch hazel (removing negativity, hexes and general dis-ease) - also makes the essential oils mix with the water. do not leave it out!!
sidenote - if you want to use this spray on you or your clothes, dilute the essential oils first to make sure you donât develop a sensitivity!
How To Make:
1. mix a teaspoon or so of whichever salt you chose with your water and wait for it to dissolve before pouring it into a spray bottle.
2. add witch hazel in a 2 parts water 1 part witch hazel ratio
3. add a few drops of lavender essential oil, clary sage oil and tea tree oil depending on the strength of the scent you like
4. add a few dried rose petals if you want to!
5. put the lid on the bottle and give it a good shake before each use!
I personally use this for meditation, grounding & centering, before spellwork and to help me get to sleep.
Remember to always be safe with your essential oils!
đ
EDIT: be careful if you have cats because lavender is toxic to them! make sure not to spray too much or omit lavender oil from the ingredients if you want to be totally safe.
thanks for the reminder @rainbow-lava

Shadow Work Info đ§żđđĽ

Shadow Work
Origins, Meaning and Utility
The Structure of the Mind
Carl Jung theorized the existence of three levels/spheres in the human psyche: the Ego, representing the conscious mind, the Personal Unconscious where memories are contained and the Collective Unconscious, where all knowledge and experiences of the species are shared.
Each Sphere has in it a certain number of Archetypes, used to better describe the components of those structures, and the Shadow is one of them.
What is the Shadow
The shadow can be seen as a instinctual or primitive part of ourselves, it exists as part of the unconscious mind and is composed of repressed ideas, weaknesses, desires, instincts, and shortcomings.
It is this archetype that contains all of the things that are unacceptable not only to society, but also to one's own personal morals and values, normally going against social norms and rules as well as what we personally consider right.
The Shadow is often described as the darker side of the psyche, representing wildness, chaos, and the unknown, and it is common for people to deny this element of their own psyche and instead project it on to others.
The Shadow in Witchcraft and Benefits of Shadow Work
Art: Unknown
The Shadow, in witchcraft, can represent The Unknown, hidden depth of ourselves. Speaking in terms of energy, this is an area that can be a deep source of energetic issues, because itâs locked up in the dark and always striving to reach the light.
To not work with oneâs Shadow is to make it greedy and aggressive, as well as denying a big part of oneself, making everything a half of a whole.
Through that brief explanation, we can already establish the importance and role of the Shadow in witchcraft, and with that in mind, comes the concept of Shadow Work.
Shadow Work can be seen in a number of practices, meditation, trances, inner journeyâs, lucid dreaming, astral travels, spells and divination.
The method can change, but the principle is simple: Centering your intent to self discovery, self knowledge and self acceptance.
Working with oneâs Shadow is not only beneficial to oneâs craft, as it allows one to get in touch with their intuition as well as allows for easier connection with oneâs guide/guides, but it also allows for healing and acceptance of oneâs feelings and needs.
Think of all aspects of life as a wheel. If there is one part bent, the wheel can turn, but with more effort. If the owner spends time fixing that bent part, the wheel will turn in a much more smooth manner.
That is what happens when you take the time to do Shadow Work, you have to put in effort, and most of the time itâs not easy, but once done, all other components on the wheel of your life will be relieved to move on without that obstacle that makes their job harder.
The Shadow is not evil, as evil is just a moral compass invented by humans. It is a part of oneâs nature, and to deny it is to supress a connection with yourself.
Take the time to know and accept your shadow, and youâll see that life will be a little easier.
