I aspire to be a woman who loves to wakes up early in the morning and loves what she does for a living everyday. Travels often, spiritually secured, and financially stable.
The most obnoxious thing about the whole veganism debate is the inability from both sides to admit that the other side does have a point. The animal agriculture industry does treat animals like shit. the vegan lifestyle exploits the fuck out of workers. What yall need to accept is there is no ethical way to eat and youāre not better than anyone else for eating or not eating meat. Have you seen the world we live in lol

If we can recommend one thing this weekend, meal preppersā¦.MEAL PREP PANCAKES!! They will change your life!Ā š _ Peanut butter protein pancakes with strawberries and light table syrup Ā Ingredients: 2 large eggs 1½ cups skim milk 1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt (can use vanilla if you want for more sweetness) 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract ½ cup natural creamy peanut butter 2 cups White Whole Wheat Flour 2 teaspoons baking powder ½ teaspoon salt Instructions Preheat griddle or skillet to medium heat. Combine the eggs, milk, Greek yogurt and vanilla extract together in a bowl until well blended. Whisk in peanut butter. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, whisking until the dry ingredients are incorporated into the wet ingredients. Taking ¼ cup at a time, pour the pancake batter onto the griddle. Cook until bubbles start to form on the surface of the batter and the edges are set, about 3 minutes. Flip pancakes and cook on the other side until golden brown, another 2-3 minutes. Continue until you have used all the batter. Serve topped with melted peanut butter, maple syrup and/or fresh fruit (my fave is sliced bananas)! yes get on it!
Hereās a hard truth: getting back into shape isnāt easy, or glamorous, or fun, or sexy.Ā It isnāt quick, it isnāt painless, and it isnāt pretty.
This is what it is: itās staying in on a Saturday night so you can hydrate and get enough sleep before a long run that is exactly a quarter of the distance you used to run on long run days. Itās convincing yourself that that run even matters, short as it is. Itās convincing yourself to take that run seriously, short as it is.
Itās wearing compression socks under your jeans to work, hoping your over-worked legs will miraculously feel better by the time your run rolls around. Itās using every mental trick you know - just get to that lamppost, just get to that fire hydrant, just get to your street - to keep yourself running when they donāt.
Itās rolling out a mat and doing core work at the foot of your bed after you run, even though youād rather be in that bed, preferably watching Netflix with a glass of wine. Itās doing yoga videos alone in your basement. Itās bringing your foam roller with you wherever you go, and trying to laugh it off when your friends make fun of you, again, for taking it so seriously.Ā
Itās schlepping it to the gas station during a snowstorm so you can buy two bags of ice. Itās shivering while you carry them inside your house. Itās shivering even harder when you lower yourself into a homemade ice bath and force yourself to sit there for 20 minutes. Itās hoping that it works.
Itās two plates at dinner, trying to make sure youāre eating enough. Itās forcing yourself to drive to the store on a weeknight when you run out of frozen vegetables. Itās praying that that thing you heard about bananas speeding up recovery is true because everything hurts and you have a run on the schedule and you canāt skip a day because youāll lose momentum.
Itās learning that momentum is a precious thing - the most precious thing. Itās realizing that it doesnāt matter how bright the fire burns, as long as itās still alive. Itās dedicating your entire existence to stoking it, in the big ways and the small ways, doing whatever you can to make sure that when you wake up in the morning, youāve still got a spark to work with.
Itās not easy. Itās not glamorous. Itās not fun, or sexy, or quick, or painless. It really, truly is not pretty.Ā
But I have to believe it will be worth it.
