Fact OTD: Rabbits cannot vomit! The smooth musculature of the esophagus allows movement only in one direction. Knowing this is very important, because it demonstrates the need for a balanced diet.
My tips for other magical girls !!
Cw English is not my first language
⥠Make a diy wand or buy a toy one! Use it as an accessory, keychain or simply wear it around with you
⥠Are you the type who uses an object to transform? decorate your object or create it! this is similar to the wand diy
⥠Outfits! If you're fictionkin, make your outfits inspired on your kin, you can also use things like fluffy skirts, bows, lace and cute jewerly
⥠This is too basic, but make a playlist, believe me, it can help
⥠Merch from media with magical girls, buy or diy merch from media like sailor moon, sakura cardcaptor, even from stuff like star vs the forces of evil, winxs club, etc.
⥠This is super specific but those little backpacks with wings on them(??? Idk
⥠If you can, dye/cut/style your hair the same as the character you kin or in a way that makes you feel connected to the kin
⥠cute room decor, use pastel colors and kawaii themed things, search for cutecore room inspo or bedrooms of certain magical girl animes on pinterest(btw i don't like the term cutecore)
lab and border collieÂ
How to feel more like a puppy / doggie đś
Custom dog collars / normal collars
eating out of custom human-made dog bowls (I must express this: do not eat out of a used dog bowl)
get a chewy ball!
get a dog bed or if you feel comfortable with it, a dog cage (with blankies + pillows)
barking as much as you can
doing tricks
flops
chasing things (not other animals as you may scare them!)
eating doggy-like food (scooby snacks, beef jerky, peanut butter, biscuits)
going for walks and play times at the park
rolling around in the grass (if comfortable you can do mud as well!)
having baths instead of showers
furry paws
clip on tails
crawling on all fours
curling up on your caregiver's lap
jumpies
wiggles
lays at their caregiver's feet
spins in circles
using hands to eat / trying to eat even without hands (like licking the food off the plate)
Agere sensories - visuals! (things I see!)
Seeking:
fairy lights, night lamps, aquarium lamps, lava lamps, LED strips, christmas lights
online you can search up toy commercials, toy unboxing, pinterest, or the website that you're on right now, Tumblr! however make sure your blocked tags and phrases are secured before going through social media, especially as a little
if you're feeling confident, visit toy stores, libraries' kids sections, playgrounds! they're very stimulating, but remember to stay respectful on your visits :)
There's more to artsy life than coloring books! Bead bracelets, clay, stickers, collecting various things, journaling, baby books, finger painting, glitter!
To my fem leaning regressors, hairclips, jewelry, bright make-up (I do not recommend kids make-up as it doesn't have regulations, use adult make up in a childish way), animal headbands! To my neutral/masc regressors, pins, patches, funky shoelaces, sticker tattoos, keychains! Decorate yourself to stimulate yourself on gloomy days!
get food for kids! More colorful, maybe with a cute animal or a smile or dinos, the pretty juice bottles with cartoons? don't get me started. You can also get shape cutters for your veggies/sandwiches
stimboards, gifs!
customize your devices! Wallpapers, keyboards, AOD, widgets! You can even use gifs!
decorate your room and gear too! Coloring pages or other craft you're proud of, showing your favorite toys (if you're safe) colorful rugs! Make custom pacis, add stickers to your bottles, add cute labels!
stim toys, glow in the dark toys! Water toys, squishy balls with colors in them, orbeez, snowglobes, slime!
Avoidant:
Have nap times! They don't have to be a nap time, but you can make an hour to yourself, covering the windows and turning off the lights
There are settings on modern devices specifically targeted for visuals. Lower the brightness, get yourself a dark mode, have eye safety on
Get yourself fuzzy nighttime blindfolds, cute sunglasses, hats or hoodies that will limit your eye view (be careful to be protected, but functional if you're outside)
this is universal for any sensory suppression, but items for babies are your best friends if you're looking for less eye straining gear. (Especially with the beige mom trend being more popular, ha ha)
if you still want to watch baby shows, check low-stimulation lists. Also, usually shows directed at younger age range are slower. I also find vintage cartoons less overwhelming (but they're not guaranteed to be always slow and not stimulating)
You can order online instead of throwing yourself out to the chaotic, overwhelming stores
limit your screentime! Short-form content is easily overwhelming, and staring into a bright screen for x hours doesn't do your eyes a favor. It's okay to need breaks and not always be up to date with everything
if possible, pick safe times to do your errands where there's not a lot of people, like weekend mornings.
have a list of safe cartoons, safe colors, safe places, or other "safe" sensories. It's sometimes better to know what you're comfortable with!
remember, if it gets too much, it is always okay to back out. This is YOUR coping mechanism and nobody else's, it's up to YOU what you're okay and not okay with

They have trouble making friends, and are seen as the âweirdâ kid that everyone would leave out in recess and class time. They donât talk much and feel they have nothing to say of importance, may it be because they get talked over or interrupted, or told mean things whenever they try. They donât feel included in anything, and feel forgotten.

hey, if youâre a speaking person (or partially speaking due to speech loss episodes or what have you) and you hear another speaking person say shit like âgoing nonverbalâ or âiâm semiverbal bc i go nonverbal sometimesâ
stop that shit. program a button into your aac or keep a card in your communication cards or prepare a verbal script to inform others.
a bit lost as to what to say? try this one out for size:
âactually, nonverbal is a permanent state of not talking. it means you donât talk ever, you donât âgo nonverbalâ. some words to describe your experience could be, losing speech, speech loss episode, losing words, verbal shutdownâŚâ
the nonverbal community does not need to do this on their own. we owe them that much.
spread the word like butter on toast yall! call out that shit when you see it.
addendum to this;
being verbal doesnât mean you wonât ever struggle with language! itâs ok to be verbal and struggle with language. your struggles are real and valid.
but you absolutely underestimate the gravity of not being able to talk **all the time** versus not being able to talk 1% of the time.
your struggles as a verbal person are still real. but you simply do not need to co opt a word from a community that is ignored time and time again just so you can feel validated in your struggling one percent of the time.
to put this into perspective, i use an aac to talk about 40% of the time. i am not nonverbal. i am not semiverbal either. i can talk about 60% of the time, but i am not either of those things.
to reiterate:
semiverbal means you can talk some of the time but you always always always struggle with speaking (edited from âalways struggle with languageâ as that is incorrect)
nonverbal means you donât talk at all, and is usually accompanied by some kind of difficulty parsing / processing language.
if you have any more questions about where you fit in on the spectrum of verbality, feel free to hop into my ask box or DMs. but donât harass nonverbal folks.
take accountability for your privilege and do better. you got this. i believe in you
hi! did system problems lmao, feel free to ignore
if an alter in a system matches the definition of nonverbal, but the rest of the system isn't nonverbal at all, would you call them a nonverbal alter, or would you use a different word ?
Hello, this is actually quite a common discourse many have different opinions, thank you for asking a nonverbal person to answer!!
Nonverbal is about your full time, all the time, nonverbal means no functional speech 24/7, never. It's much more different than periods of inability to speak, a different experience.
Things in the nonverbal community, you do not have the same experience as. If you go to a speech therapist they do not see you as a nonverbal person, they see you as someone/a system who cannot speak sometimes/at certain times, because that is what you are. Nonverbal is what a full person/the body is, not what some alters are, nonverbal systems all of their alters are nonverbal.
So in my opinion I do not think that it is appropriate to call an alter nonverbal if your body at other times is capable of functional (functional as in simply saying "I want food" that would. Be functional, I do not mean functional as in any complex things, this is to include people who can speak but all their speech does not make sense to others or can but it is all echolalia etc) speech.
A lot of the time people I have seen have used other words, but they are as harmful as nonverbal to use.
Do not use these words for it.
â"non-verbal"â
â"non-speaking"â
â"non-vocal"â
â"semi verbal"â(to describe the whole system as semi verbal only because one alter cannot talk is incorrect, but you may be semi verbal but this is assuming you may say you are semi verbal only based of that which would be innocrect)
Here are some suggestions for other ways you could describe it, if it doesn't apply to your situation I am sorry.
â "this alter can't/doesn't speak"â
â "verbal shutdown"â (though this may not feel like what your alter experiences as it is that alters full time thing, it may be helpful to explain this to strangers and others in your life)
I'm sorry I could only give two suggestions! It is hard. But it may be best to just say that the alter doesn't or can't speak to people you know, and say verbal shutdown to those you don't know!
the way he smiled made my heart flutter, his dimples and everythingg AHHH
isabelle i literally have no idea what youâre talking about
Nursery/Daycare idea:
A growth-chart style graphic for Littles next to the door of the nursery that functions similar to a clip-chart so that Caregivers don't need to use cues from their Little to figure out how old they feel and so that Littles don't need to pick a hard number, but instead it's more organized by "height" (more like baby, toddler, preschooler, elementary school, middle school, middle and adult).
And then if you have two Littles you can have multiple clips and kiddos and move them around to keep track. This could also be helpful if you're a flip or are working with another flip!
Here's how I envision it looking :D
