Story time. As I was leaving my neighborhood I saw a random Boston terrier running around someone’s front yard. Wasn’t super weird but I didn’t see a single human around. Stop my car and called the pup and he ran away from the car dashing across people’s yards. All of a sudden 3 more Boston terriers came springing out of nowhere all running up to my car and barking. At that moment I knew something wasn’t right at all. Turned my engine off and tried approaching them. Some ran and barked at me while two came up with wiggly tails to say hello and sniff my legs. Right then a grandma shows up screaming for her pups to come to her. They run to her like herd of Buffalo and I say “Ma’am these dogs were in the street. I see 4 of em but that’s it” she screams at her husband who apparently left the gate open and she says “Cookie isn’t here omg Cookie” Apparently she has 5 Boston terriers and one is missing. Fast forward to me jumping to my car and speeding away like I’m in an action movie to find this lost dog. Images of Pickle were running through my head and I was going to help no matter what. After driving with wide eyes and my head on a swivel I find a man who is waving his arms in the air. He says there is a dog trapped in his back yard. Y’all it was fucking Cookie. She was on one and wouldn’t let anyone come near her. We had at least 4-6 ppl trying to wrangle this pup and I’m sure you can guess what happened next. My ass of course was taking charge cause literally everyone was nervous or not thinking straight. After what seemed like ten mins I was able to grab this damn dog and lift it in the air and immediately thrown it into its owners arm. Crisis solved. As we all walked away patting each other on the back I felt some pain in my arm. Looked down and saw blood flowing. This damn Cookie took a literal bite out of me. Did my first Escape room to celebrate Maddie’s Birthday. We did one themed around being trapped in a 1960’s apartment. Super cool and stressful but it was a heck of a lot fun. I made this! 🧀🍓🍖🥐🍯Had to prepare a charcuterie board for Truffle Masters and I hope they enjoy it. From what I was told Truffle Masters is a group of celebrity chefs that work and live in Houston. I did a truffle pecorino Romano called “Moliterno de Tartufo” and a truffle salami from a company called Ollie. The dark lord giveth and the dark lord taketh away. With a heavy heart I had to lay to rest the family cat. Her name was “Mommas” and she lived to be the tinder age of 17. Anyone who was at my childhood home between 2005-2008 saw Mommas and knew she was fun of love. She was and is the last of the pets to pass away from the old Woodhead/Marshall house.
