✝ —— ➢ ◤ Love Isn’t Real (Part One) For waiting-for-batman ◥ Mike was rather bitter for an eighteen year old. Convinced that love was a sham- a scandal used by the media to produce money- he’d never base his happiness on a person. Human life was so pointless, why they thought something as simple as love was going to save them and turn their lives into meaning, he’d never understand. That being said, if love did exist – N o p e. No. No chance in hell. He pushed that thought from his mind the second it started to raise it’s ugly head. See, Mike cared about this boy. A dog boy never the less, but still a boy. He was fragile. He could break.. And his name was Travis. The raven haired boy watched as Travis slept in his own bed. He’d occasionally brush the stray hair from the other’s face or brush his fingertips against the boy’s cheek with pale fingers but he didn’t dare wake and stir him. The night was full of creatures like Mike, he knew it all too well. That coupled with the fact that someone had threatened the other during the day, Mike refused to let the boy out of his sight until the sun came up once again. He seemed so caught up in the fact that he had this dog DNA and muscles to bulk him up, he could take on the world- Yet all Mike could see was this innocent guy drooling in his bed, mouth slightly agape. How badly he wished he could hate this male. Caring for someone just the tiniest would be bad for both parties involved. Just being around Mike would put the other endanger. Sure he looked like any old lanky kid on the streets, but it was all a disguise. Behind those clear eyes and shielding gums laid a bloodthirsty monster. ❝What is wrong with you?❞ He asked aloud, head falling into his hands. Whether the question was aimed at Travis or himself was completely lost.
you poor thing.
