"His name... He said he wants me to call him Orson. He won't look like an alien. He said he'd try and find a person's body willing to let him overtake it for a little while..." Waiting for Orsonâs ...
Waiting for Orson
What immediately caught my attention is that the Orson referred to in Waiting for Orson is the same Orson that "Mork from Ork" would talk to at the end of every episode on the sitcom Mork and Mindy (1978-1982). I used to love that show!

Here's our fancy, new press release. Ta-da!
Aliens in Arms and the First Blog
“This is different.” This line stands out to me while I read through our script for what must be the 15,000th time since January. The determination behind Tristan’s statement is both haunting and empowering in this moment, “this is different.”
In the short days before our first rehearsal the pressure is increasing and so is my self-doubt, what started out as a simple creative outlet has quickly progressed into a new way of life. It would be ridiculous to not doubt myself at this point in the journey. I feel a little like Mickey Rooney has emerged and proclaimed “Let’s put on a show in this barn! It’s brilliant and producers will come from NYC to watch our barnyard review!” At this point in the movie version, Mickey and Judy would be discovered, move into a technicolored studio and become titans of the industry… this is not how real life works, but the intense progression of the past few months has made me reexamine this 1930’s representation of showbiz success. Mickey and his bandits may have been onto something when they decided they must destroy the quiet streets in the name of their need for art.
Seriously, watch this video for the climactic scene of raging artists. It’s adorable both in and out of context. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EB8Yww-k6Sc Rehearsals are starting Monday. Chris is getting to town sometime today. The group of bandits I have assembled is nothing short of an army. They are indeed a force all their own. Trash cans will run for cover when my team of dreamers come to town.
This is going to be a magical process, one full of talent and determination. Success is measured in more ways than financial returns and no matter how the box office returns fall, I do genuinely feel we are going to be successful in this production. The only way we can fail is if we don’t see this through to the end. Mickey’s lack of self-doubt is terrifying, but there is balance in Judy. She might think this is risky but she trusts him completely. I trust my collaborators completely. This show is happening. Trash cans of the world be damned.

MARQUETTE — A group of Forest Roberts Theater veterans is making history this summer and needs support from the local community.
We were in our local paper! Look at that.

Waiting for Orson is an acclaimed play inspired by actual events about a wide-eyed Tristan and his psychiatrist ex-girlfriend who explore the cusp of either enlightenment or insanity as he waits in New York's Penn Station for an extraterrestrial visitor.
Coming to the Capital Fringe Fest in July! earthinstinct.com for more info.
