"It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden," her rep said in a statement.
commission for @junipersal for their fic all these years of running (they led me straight to you)
They didn't want to give Will an "external character" to "affect his journey", oh come onnnnnn
I find it always tragically funny how queer people apparently cannot accept themselves, make "their own journey" AND have a love interest at the same time.
Like sure, if you're going to write it in a way where the character's self-acceptance entirely relies on someone else's love, that's not good nor satisfying, but it's totally possible to write it in a nuanced, compelling way where self-acceptance and romance happen alongside each other. If you can't do that, that's a skill issue.
To think finding yourself is a path you have to walk on completely alone is false, but also, it somehow only ever applies to the gays, because the same writers will give their straight characters both growth and romance (and suddenly no one is saying it's incompatible hmm).
Also, how is centering Will's love for Mike any better, especially if it was never meant to become something? Was that not "affecting his journey" in a pretty negative way? His love was used to uplift a hetslop that failed anyway, it was okay to show his sufffering but not him finding reciprocated love? Damn.
Someone accidentally slipped in some really gay ass cards behind the Duffers’ backs I guess

Noah will receive the Breakthrough Performance Award on May 29 for his role as Will Byers in Stranger Things 5! 🥳
we actually do not talk enough about how deliberately inconsistent they treat will and mike in s5. we see them living together and going to school together and then will sees another gay person experiencing romance for the first time and he asks robin for advice and its obviously about mike and then robin tells dick jokes around both of them and then he talks to mike and the cinematography is almost over the top romantic and he flirts with him but mike kinda rejects him (or thats how we were supposed to interpret it but that would be out of nowhere because we know he has No Idea so ig its ambiguous) and then robin tells him the tammy story that kinda applies to him but also it doesn't apply to him at all and then there's a whole tropey romantic gag that stars the both of them and its also a very overt dick joke/an innuendo and then he saves mike from a demogorgon with the power of acceptance and his love and their friendship and mike does heart eyes at him and then they don't interact with each other for 3 episodes and will comes out and they do a very intentional thing with the camera when will says I Don't Like Girls and then they finally (attempt to) kill byler with a stupid ooc gay joke that felt right out of an early 2010s cable tv show. how in hell do people confidently call this not queerbait. they even honored traditional classic queerbaits at the end with obvious dismissive homophobic jokes that weren't a thing the show did before. it doesn't matter that will is still gay that wasn't really the thing people were on the edge of their seat for anymore.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILL BYERS!!! 🎉🎉🎉
what do you mean this coconut turned 55 today??
ok so someone coming out to like 15 people at once and all of them accepting him in the 80s is realistic but him getting with the guy he's been pining for since he was 13 and who was giving him the signals his queer mentor told him to look for isn't. ok good to know
remember when we got this pic and we all collectively lost our minds
remember when we thought any of these characters would interact
When listening to music, what part of it is most important to you?
The melody
The harmony
The bassline
The percussion
The lyrics
The rhythms used
The instruments used
The tempo of the song
I like to change what I focus on while listening
I've never considered what I find most important musically
