Eating disorders expectations vs reality
Expectations:
- You get skinny and reach your goal weight - You will have a lot of friends - You look good in anything - You will be happy - You will be beautiful - You will love yourself
Reality:
- You lose weight, but don’t think it will satisfy you. You will never be satisfied, there will always be a new goal weight.
- You won’t have any friends, because an eating disorder won’t allow any friends. And After a while they will stop calling, and after a while you prefer to stay alone.
- You will hate your body so much that you cover all your fat up, so no one can see how repulsive you are.
- You will be unhappy, isolated, lonely and ashamed of your disorder.
- You won’t be beautiful, you will starve and binge and purge and cut yourself until your body is full of scars. Losing weight brought me stretchmaks, saggy skin, and a lot of self hate. (This might not be true for anyone because I started at a very high weight).
- You will hate everything about yourself and your body.
- You will be sick. Your hair will fall out, your teeth will rot, you might die of a heart attack in your sleep, your cheeks will be puffy, your stomach will hurt, you might vomit blood, your skin will be dry, you will get depressed, you will feel dizzy, exhausted and disgusted by yourself.
- YOU WILL NOT CARE ABOUT THE ABOVE BECAUSE YOU ARE A FAT COW AND YOU HAVE TO LOSE WEIGHT, AND IF IT TAKES DYING TO GET THERE, SO BE IT.
