I really want to see Wireface and Yesenin interact…partly because they’re both my favorites, but also because they’re both victims of misunderstandings and social stigma… (Wireface as a foreigner and Yesenin because of his looks..)

Yesenin strikes me as the kind of person who, when drunk, would cling to any nearby being—human or otherwise—and treat them as a sounding board. He would deliver long monologues about morality, politics, human nature, etc., quoting poems included

Wireface would make sure to nod along in the right spots and try to catch any familiar words. If nothing else, it's good language practice, i guess??

Apart from these drinking sessions, Yesenin and Wireface probably spend their time playing cards or making more serious attempts to learn each other's languages. Yesenin is well-read, has a good feel for language, and is better than anyone else in the house at explaining words and grammar. He's genuinely curious to learn new things, so Wireface teaches him Georgian in return

At first, they managed with drawings and pantomime. Later, the Homeowner managed to scrounge up a Georgian dictionary for them somewhere, and after that, things moved much faster
