And here Peter thought he could speak quickly - it was suffice to say that he just had a harder time articulating his thoughts. This kid had no trouble at all except the speed; no wonder they called him the Flash. Peter did his best to nod and smile through the brief flurry of a greeting, grateful that his mask only showed the intensity in which his eyes watched speedster.
“Flash, hey, yeah - it’s nice to meet yo-oh? Sure, I know a thing or two about some speedsters.. Ha, ah, that sounds like an impressive resume you got there. I know a thing or two about saving the world, but.. Commercials, ehh - acting was never a strength of mine,” Peter laughed sheepishly as they shook hands. “So, uh, what brings you to my little corner of the world?”
Without waiting for a response, Wally suddenly appeared behind Spider-Man, taking a selfie of the two of them with the flash on. A split-second later, he was suddenly in front of the other hero instead, his gaze down at the phone. The device had been specially created for him by Wayne Tech, and was to be used by Speedsters, but it still was painstakingly slow compared to how fast he (and Barry and Bart) could think and process things. After a second he smirked, then glanced up at the Spider-Man. “Was visiting a friend. Decided to do a little patrolling, for old time’s sake. This used to be my stomping ground when I was a teenager.” Which had been over ten years ago when he had been in the Teen Titans. Good times had been had by him and the other Titans–bad times too, of course. But he still looked back on it with some nostalgia.
The phone would suddenly disappear from view, as if he had never held it at all, then his hands went to his hips. “You know other speedsters? Who? Kid Flash?” Wally was aware that there were other Speedster heroes out in the world, but the only one he knew of in NYC at the moment was Bart, since he lived in downtown New York in Titan Tower while going to school at NYU. The other Kid Flash, Wallace West, was in California at the other Titan Tower location. “You ever think about joining the Justice League? We could use someone like you. I mean, if even half of what the media says is true, you have some impressive skills. Ore are they powers?” And Wally could see by looking at the guy that he didn’t have 8 arms and he wasn’t trying to murder him, so that part wasn’t true– at least hopefully not. Wally was used to the press saying stupid stuff about heroes, and making up lies and exaggerations (himself included), but he’d seen the guy zip down on a cord so he at least could swing around…?
