"MEET FATU

Fatu is the younger one of the very last two remaining Northern White Rhinos in the world and therefore guarded 24/7 by armed rangers. She is female and 25 years old. In contrast to Najin, her mother, she has rather a bad temper and can be somewhat unpredictable. If piqued, she will show sudden aggression and won't take any nonsense from anyone. Nevertheless, she has a good rapport with her caretakers and a belly and ear rub brings her back to good humour. She loves sleeping in ditches with her snout resting on the ground, next to her snoring mother, Najin. She is also very fond of cars and delights in inspecting them at close range.

Both, Najin and Fatu, can no longer have offspring naturally. Now only the most modern reproductive medicine and a surrogate mother from another sub-species (Southern White Rhino) can help to avoid the extinction of this sub-species.. It is a race against time...
