Sofia looped their arms together and smiled. “I would greatly appreciate that. Besides, if and when you get a household of your own, you’re still expected to help out with the chores around here,” she finished in the teasing tone.
Flavia snorted softly, gently bumping into her mother’s side. “If being the keyword. I prefer to live my life as an Assassin, Mama, not a housewife. No offense to you, however.”
Sofia squeezed her hand. “Hang on to that if, my dear,” she uttered with a grin. “I wouldn’t mind some grandchildren. Either way, Marcello better not fail me,” she teased, laughing. As of late, her son had been attracting the eyes of local village girls. He’d certainly inherited his father’s good looks. “Don’t worry, figlia mia. You’re too much like both of your parents to ever merely settle as a housewife.”
decorisfloreo:
“Do you need any help? The Brotherhood does not require me for a while, hopefully. I’ll be around quite often.” She hummed, smiling brightly.
Sofia looped their arms together and smiled. “I would greatly appreciate that. Besides, if and when you get a household of your own, you’re still expected to help out with the chores around here,” she finished in the teasing tone.
decorisfloreo:
Flavia grinned, giving her mother a tight squeeze. “I’ve been well, Mama. What about yourself?”
Sofia gave a slight huff, however she felt much better now that she saw that her eldest child was safe and sound. “Oh, busier than I need to be, but what can one do, no? Things will get better in time.”
MAMA MAMA HELP!" The young girl screamed, her hair stuck in tree sap.
Sofia’s eyes widened and she raced to her eldest child’s side. “Flavia, what happened?!” she exclaimed as she struggled to detangle the hair from the tree sap.
flower-ofthe-auditore:
Curling up into the cuddles, Flavia felt the pain slowly subside as she dozed off, the event tiring her.
Sofia tenderly stroked the girl’s hair and kissing her forehead, wanting her daughter to feel safe and sound again. She sang softly, knowing it would soothe Flavia further.
"Mama! Mama Mama!"
((omfg you’re alive *glomps*))
“Si, Flavia mia? What is it?” Sofia asked, turning to gaze over at her daughter.
The girl came back, carrying her basket as she looked to her mother with happiness.
Sofia beamed and kissed Flavia’s head. “You’re such a sweet girl, my love,” she hummed warmly.
“Because I love you Mama!”
flower-ofthe-auditore:
“Because I love you Mama!”
“I love you too, sweetheart!” Sofia crooned warmly before taking her hand. “Come along, Flavia. Let’s find the little frog for your papa.”
Flavia and Marcello were snickering as they both yelled. "happy Mother's Day!!!!!"
Sofia burst into a bright grin, kneeling to the ground and opening her arms to embrace her children. “Oh, grazie mille!” she exclaimed, kissing their heads. “This means so much to me!”
flower-ofthe-auditore:
Marcello got excited as Flavia stuck her tongue out. “Papa always makes things special!”
“Si, he does,” Sofia agreed with a smile. “He loves us all very much and he never wants us to forget it.”
Flavia curls into bed with her mana.
Sofia smiles and kisses the top of her daughter’s head, book in hand. “Salve, Flavia mia. How have you been, my sweet girl?”
flower-ofthe-auditore:
“Thats because Papa doesnt go outside of his study. If he didnt have me he would be stuck there!” she rolled around frowning. “Besides chores are boring Mama!”
Sofia couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re probably right on that one,” she agreed in amusement. Ezio was clearly enjoying the quiet life now that he had retired as Mentor.
"Aunt Sofia I need your help!" Said Alexios while knocking at the woman's door with his free hand while with the other was holding little Andreas who was crying inconsolably.
When Sofia opened the door, concern immediately etched itself onto her face. “Alexios, Andreas? What happened?” she asked worriedly as she swiftly escorted them inside. There was nothing that broke her heart more than a crying child, especially one that was dear to her.
“want mamaa!” Little Andreas said still crying in Sofia’s arms. Alexios looked at him. “Your mom is with your dad spending some time together, we don´t want to disturb them, right Andreas?” He said and looked at Sofia not sure what to do.
Sofia held Andreas to her, gently stroking his dark hair. A mother was a mother, and nothing broke her heart like a crying child. “Well, Andreas,” she hummed softly, brushing away his tears. “As your big brother said, your parents are spending the day together. I know you love your mama and want to be with her, but I’m sure you’ll be fine until they get home. Why don’t you both stay with me for today? We can bake cookies together! Would you like that, boys?”

“That depends on what you class as a bad example.” He jested back as they slowly made their way back to the house and stable where their carriage was tended to. Despite the teasing, Ezio couldn’t rid the smile from his face even if he were to try.
He had grown up in a large family and even when he had started thinking about marriage all those years ago, children had always been something he wanted. The only barrier was his readiness for it and then the catastrophic events that changed the course of his life entirely.
“Oh, please.” Sofia laughed in complete amusement. Ezio hated doctors, point blank. Probably because they always stuck their noses in his business. An assassin would certainly sustain an alarming amount of injuries in a physician’s eyes. Even worse, she knew he’d sneak sweets to their children in the foreseeable future.
She came over to their horse’s stall, brushing her hand over his long face in greeting. The steed snorted and made an effort to see if she had any treats hiding in her skirts. “ Hey now,” she chided with a laugh. “Amore mio, do we have any carrots left for our four-legged friend?”

“Ciao, figlia mia!” Sofia greeted warmly in reply. “It has been a long time, no?”
“Si, Mama, it has.” Flavia smiled brightly at her mother, opening her arms for a hug.
The Venetian easily encircled her daughter in her arms, affectionately kissing her cheek. “My beautiful girl, how have you been?”

“I know my body better than any apothecary.” Ezio dismissed with a wave of his hand. No doctor would stop him from looking after his wife, and his child.
These were the years of his life that he could finally do as he wished and now it seemed that the world would not allow it. No, he would enjoy this as he could for as long as possible.
Sofia couldn’t help but snort. The Auditores were as stubborn as mules, her husband being the prime example of that evaluation. Still, neither could deny that time was an enemy against all humanity.
“He’s just trying to help,” she reminded him gently, pressing a sweet kiss on his cheek. “He wants what’s best for you just as I do. Besides, we can’t have you setting bad examples for the baby.” The Venetian gave him a teasing wink.
"Ciao, Mama."

flower-ofthe-auditore:
Flavia giggled. “But Mama I am always here!” she hugged her mother not wanting to let go
“True,” Sofia agreed as she hugged her, “but you and your papa spend a lot of time together, no? Especially when I’m busy with those boring chores.”
Peeking out through the crack in her door, Flavia saw papa walk past all dressed to go and begin the harvest early while mamma was still asleep. The two year old smiled as she crept down the hallway and into her parents' room. After the difficult process of getting onto the very high bed, the two year old giggled and jumped about. "Wake up mamma! The sun is up!"
Sofia was snuggled in her warm bed–however the lack of her husband’s presence was subconsciously noted. She refused to rouse, enjoying the last spare moments of freedom from a day’s labor. That couldn’t last long, especially when one had an energetic little girl. The Venetian was jostled awake by said child, Flavia jumping on the bed as high as her little legs would allow her. “Flavia,” she chided with a smile, managing to take hold of her girl and pull her to her. “A simple ‘good morning’ would have worked just as well,” she teased, kissing Flavia’s chubby cheek.
flaviaauditoredafirenze:
Flavia thought about it. “Alright, but you have to play too.” She compromised, making papa chuckle as he held her.

“Va bene,” Sofia agreed with a robust laugh as she set about to prepare some breakfast for her little family. “And what shall we be playing today, my love?” she inquired to her daughter further.

“You should of said, I would not have minded an extra visit to the market for sweets.” Ezio said with a smile, holding her hand as they walked back towards the house and his carriage. His wife knew his appetite well enough surely.
“True, however much the physician insists your need to cut back.” Sofia smiled and kissed his hand. She tried her best to follow the doctor’s instructions--no matter Ezio’s complaints--however she couldn’t exactly refuse her husband everything all the time.
