@waltzerina
I kinda really miss you.
I kinda really apologize for not being around. {`cue an apologetic grimace before smiling sheepishly } I’ve missed you too, but I hope you’ve been okay, yeah?

GONG JI CHUL | "MISTER J" | 34 | OWNER OF THE LOTUS
Hello! You can refer to me as Mister J, and I’m here on the behalf of the Lotus — a newly established hostel just outside the ruckus of the city. I will keep this short and sweet like all good things in life. We’ve got twenty rooms available with all the commodities necessary to have a satisfactory stay, and both our laundry room and showers are open for the public — so if you’re ever in a residential pinch we’re here for you. The Lotus runs on a “pay as you please” basis, so you, and you alone, will decide how much your stay costs — that way we’re successfully eliminating the risk of being “too expensive”. I think I’ve kept you long enough, and I’m looking forward to seeing you in the near future. {`the video shifts from jichul’s face to information regarding location and staff for hire before it fades out and ends }
ABOUT | GUIDELINES oc, possible mature themes, literate
≯ CHARISMATIC — confident and proud with charm to match, Jichul is a very radiant personality. With intelligence, empathy and a keen sense of adventure this man is a master at assessing the situation and making the most of out it. There is a natural warmth to the twinkle in his eyes, an obvious air in the bounce of his steps and a sense of security with a touch by the palm of his hand. Simultaneously exciting and pleasant — that’s Jichul in a nutshell.
≯ DANGEROUS — with influence comes power and with power comes greed and greed can, in return, make a man lethal. Jichul is at the top of the food chain with people to do his bidding upon a snap of his fingers. Anything he wants can be obtained within minutes, and anything he is no longer in need of can be permanently erased from the face of the earth. When you’ve become aware of this side of him it is already too late — Jichul strikes to destroy.
about ✿ ✿ ✿ mun note
beat(ing) hearts,
He could hardly suppress the soft chuckle that tried to escape his lips. The other’s surprised face looked just too adorable. But he could understand him though, once there was a time when Sungyeol himself didn’t believe in hybrids and the like. That was of course before he had met his new friends. His tail swayed slowly from side to side when he placed the bottle back onto the ground and came closer to him, leaning his left shoulder against the wall. ”Ne, it really is a bit surreal. It took me quite a while to get used to my neko side.” It was more than obvious that the other sill felt puzzled about the situation, but Sungyeol would give him all the time he needed to understand everything. After all, it didn’t happen everyday that that you met a real life hybrid. ”Ani, I don’t mind at all”, Sungyeol commented with a charming smile. He had already taken a liking to his newest acquaintance. ”I’ve become a neko about three months ago I think.” He nodded slowly, more to himself than to the other. “At first I always tripped over my tail. I didn’t even know how to wear my pants properly.” He laughed amused. It was true, it had taken Sungyeol so many days to figure out what to do with his clothes. For now he settled with low waisted pants or simply made a hole in them, so that he could pull his tail through it. Sungyeol let his right hand glide through his soft hair before he continued to speak. “But after a bit of training it proved to be a real enrichment. Now the tail even helps me with my jumps and turns, it’s actually pretty great.” ”Oh, but I think I haven’t introduced myself yet. I’m Sungyeol, Lee Sungyeol.” He faced the young man and bowed politely. Even though Sungyeol didn’t come from a rich family, his mother had never failed to teach her children proper manners. And he himself though they were important, since it was his way to show respect for other people.
The word ‘neko’ rang familiar in his ears and he nodded absentmindedly to himself as if to confirm that yes, he had heard that before. He just never assumed that there was a slight chance of it being real. Despite the slight confusion lingering in his eyes he couldn’t help but follow the movements of the young man’s tail with fascination. Walter knew fully well that he was staring, he could literally feel it with how intensely he was looking, but he couldn’t help himself and he hoped that the other didn’t mind all too much. A sheepish smile spread across his lips when the other dancer remained positive even if he still had a somewhat hard time to grasp the concept, but he appreciated the eagerness to answer his questions. That really helped a lot, and he was already getting settled with the fact that there were, indeed, humans who showcased feline physical attributes. “So it does? That’s actually really cool. You always see how cats are so dependent on their tails, and how much good they actually do. I must admit I’ve wondered how it would be like to reap the same benefits – and now I’m talking to someone who has firsthand experience.” He had completely forgot the introductory part about meeting new people, so when Sungyeol brought it up the tall man bowed in return before speaking up with a more reassured smile this time around. “It’s nice to meet you, Sungyeol. The name’s Walter. Walter Cox.” He reached out to rub the nape of his neck as he chuckled, drowning the impulse to ask if he could touch his tail just before it slipped out of his mouth. It felt far too embarrassing to ask such a seemingly childish question, and so he let it go. “My mother owns this place, so I’m quite surprised I’ve never heard about you before. Aside from salsa, have you dabbled into any other styles of dance?”
friend;
Minseok grinned, taking out the iced coffee, and the pitcher of water for himself. He poured his glass, then put the pitcher back to the fridge. He walked back to the table with both beverages.
“I didn’t mind hangovers.” he laughed softly, “I actually really liked them sometimes.” he sat down, putting the glasses down. He looked to the kitchen, “You think so? It’s raymun.” he nodded, “it’s what, um… It’s the recipe of my, ah… My grandma.” he couldn’t help but feel a pang of guilt when he thought of his grandma- the poor fragile thing who loved Minseok as if he were her own child- despite what he did to her real children. Not that she knew, but he hated being around her, the guilt consumed him.
He laughed in slight surprise, mostly because his own hangovers had been horrendous from the start. Getting drunk was great, but waking up the morning afterwards was complete hell. “Really? Not even a tiny bit? My hangovers always make me regret ever being born.” Walter joked merrily. As he reached to for the glass, long fingers curling around the base he let the edge of it rest against his bottom lip upon listening to Minseok. The guilt was evident and both his voice and his eyes – he had seen and heard it many times before. A soft smile spread across his lips before he took a sip. “Yeah, I’m sure it’ll taste as good as it smells. It’s been so long since I’ve seen you cook, so I’m really excited to taste it – is it done?” He threw a glance towards the kitchen, his stomach already silently telling him just how hungry he was by giving off light, soundless vibrations.
{` despite it being our first encounter, he still carries the ability to smile with the impression of evolved fondness, expression a natural book that holds no secrets of what he feels, emotions clearly displayed on the smooth contours of his features. He believes that little gestures like such are essential in being stepping stones to a blooming friendship, and whilst words aren’t his forte, he favours actions that exhibit more than just spoken sentences. } Thank you — I’ll admit that paper planes are fairly difficult at the beginning though. When I first started getting into the hobby of all — this — I was honestly really shitty at it. The way I folded the paper was dodgy and because I didn’t fold it properly, it never really flew. It was disappointing. {` he shrugs his shoulders, eyebrows raising by a slight degree as a tendency. } But after practice, you get the hang of it. I mean hey, if you want a free lesson or something, then at least you know who to go to. {` he not so subtly points at himself, and just to enhance his point, he delivers a wink in your direction, albeit in the very least of even being considered as suave, but he laughs it off with a series of amused chuckles — amused at himself, but more bashful than anything else. A faint twinkle of recognition flickers in his eyes at the mention of your profession, evidently curious yet amazed all at once. } It’s the first time in many years that I’ve met a ballet dancer and I absolutely adore ballet, honestly. In more ways than just watching people dance, or the music used, or the costumes, but just the overall complexity that you dancers persevere through. I’ve sketched people dancing ballet and it was an overwhelming experience. How in the world can I capture such — imperfect magnificence? Personally, I felt inferior to the beauty I viewed and you know what, Walter? If your performance is open to the public, I’d love to watch it. I honestly would.
Now I’m a bit more reassured. {`he chuckled even if he knew that he had been quite bad, and the fact that he stopped without giving himself a chance to actually learn was all the more reason for a few failed attempts after that particular situation before giving up completely. his mother did however adore paper cranes and he had seen people on the internet who folded tiny ones in abundance and put them in a big, transparent jar of glass as an ever-lasting present. he had always wanted to give her something similar to that on her fifties birthday, but he wasn’t sure if he’d ever learn } Well, I’ve actually thought about that, believe it or not. After that free lesson, how much will the rest of the lessons cost? {`he grinned sheepishly, definitely enjoying how easy baekhyun was to be around – there were no awkward silences nor misunderstandings, and the boy’s overall cheery attitude rubbed off on him. an much wider smile spread across his lips, and while it was even brighter than anything he had showcased up until now it was also much softer, as if it held a particular fondness to it upon hearing the other talk so beautifully about the one thing that he had decided to dedicate his life to } We do hold open performances once in a while. I also have two reserved seats at all the major performances I participate in, so if you want to see something truly spectacular I’m sure we could work something out. {`he usually gave his mother one of his reserved spots, and the other was granted to anyone who wanted to tag along. mostly he let a fellow ballet dancer follow that had yet to reach the level he danced at, just to give them some insight of what could be their reality in a few years } If you’re interested in sketching ballet again just hit me up – we practice every day. Oh, that’s right, would you mind giving me your number? {`as soon as the topic of ballet had been brought up his initial shyness was temporarily forgotten, and once they walked further into the park he left it to baekhyun to decide on a place to sit down }
fish are friends not food; walter & minseok
From his job, Minseok was used to associating with all types of people. He had acquaintances among the art as well as the business world, an even a few that weren’t really of this world at all. So he didn’t find it out of the ordinary when he and Walter became friendly quickly.
Their first meeting had been at a charity event; Walter as a performer and Minseok as one of the invitees. Awkward in an ill-fitting suit, Minseok was talking with a potential client, nibbling on what looked suspiciously like cat food spread across melba toast. But then partway through the event a stage had opened up with a few selections from a performing group and he was finally able to hide the inedible appetizer under a napkin. Then, mission accomplished, he was able to dedicate his attention to the performance itself.
Even to someone who nothing about dance the performance was stunning. There are some times that emotions translate across performers to the audience perfectly; and this was one of those times. And maybe that’s why Minseok remembered him.
Their next meeting was at a restaurant; Walter as the waiter and Minseok as the unsuspecting victim of a glass of ice water. Minseok had stood there, astonished and water dripping from his hair, and when the other customers were holding their breath for a youtube worthy reaction, Minseok had just laughed and said, “Wow, it’s you again.”
He had never been to the COEX mall on a weekday before, so he wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. But it was less crowded than he had been expecting. Despite a few groups of high schoolers and mothers taking their children out for the day, the wide courtyard was nearly deserted. So it wasn’t that difficult for him to spot his friend leaning against the side of the building.
He smiled when he saw the other, sidestepping around a few teenagers and waving to get his attention. “Walter!” He brushed a hand through his hair, his grin widening and pace quickening as he watched his friend walk towards him.
"The ride? It was all right. Public transit is not the most enjoyable experience, but it’s tolerable." He laughed, then gestured to the entrance. "Shall we go in?"
Walter laughed merrily, definitely in a noticeably cheery mood. He had never been to the aquarium before, and while deep waters scared him, cool fish didn’t. So long as he didn’t have to touch them, that is. But voluntarily petting something was more okay than randomly feeling something slimy brush up against your leg. He could live without that. “Sure! Let’s go.” The dancer ran long fingers through his hair as he headed towards the entrance, waited a few patient seconds for the electric doors to slide open before he stepped inside. It was less crowded than he expected it to be, but he kind of liked it that way. Big crowds made him nervous and tired him out far too quickly for his liking. The first thing they set foot into was the souvenir shop, and he could feel his eyes flicker this way and that. Walter wasn't a big spender – but he was an unnecessary one. Aside from the most vital stuff every other purchase he made was a total waste of money, a spur of the moment kind of deal. So he wouldn't be surprised if he walked out with his arms filled to their maximal capacity. “If I end up trying to buy one of every single thing here when we leave I need you to stop me before it’s too late.” He joked with a happy grin, even if he knew full well that the plea was truthful in every sense of the word. Soon the line shrunk enough for the two of them to wind up in front of the reception. He paid for himself and stepped aside for Minseok to do the same, idly trying to fit the receipt in his wallet before bringing his backpack to the front so that he could put it back inside. While his friend was busy he let his gaze sweep across all the information available in front of him, a wide smile grazing his lips once the older male was easy prey for pestering again. “Did you see that you’ll be able to pet the stingrays? That’s so cool.” Walter adjusted the right strap of his backpack before padding off to exit the souvenir shop and enter the actual part of the aquarium. “Woah…” As soon as they stepped inside there were a huge tank with big tuna fish to their left and the dancer’s eyes grew twice his size in admiration and awe at the sight. He was used to these small aquariums with equally as small fish, but that was the complete opposite of that. Maybe his childish fascination could be considered naive and juvenile, but it definitely caught him off guard. Sure, he had seen people go to the aquarium in movies and the likes, so theoretically he knew what it looked like, but seeing it up close was a completely different experience.
— of whirlwinds and euphoria.
{` he likes getting people running, aware, more fast-paced than usually— keeping up with his speed in most things he had going on in life. Walter was an extraordinary example of that. the fellow was scared to death of getting injured because of dancer. something, something, something. had never bothered listening too immensely to every detail, since it always ended in the latter discussing how important every joint in his body was, so very valuable. bullshit, in the ear of an adrenaline junkie. mere excuses. therefore it was obvious that Walter would be the first person he thought of when wanting to create chaos in a peaceful person’s life. poor thing. so Jongin as always rushes, tries to contain his laughter because he finds his idea foolproof, hilarious and genius. in reality, it was probably none of the options mentioned, but simply an impulse of ruckus. he even has to jump out of the way as the door suddenly opens, since he had been standing so close. something glistens in the boy’s eyes.}
{` staying perfectly silent, his grin just keeps on widening and widening within the span of perhaps a second, it feels like his face is about to crack to pieces because he’s smiling so widely. but no, that’s not the case. he knows very well that he has to hurry for this to work. so he finally lets out a soundly laugh, seeing the exact reaction he wanted; a thoroughly shaken Walter standing before him, prepared for the worst. but none of that is coming, instead Jongin moving a hand forward so very fast, grabbing the taller by the wrist and practically yanking him out of the apartment. he laughs even louder. perhaps he was insane at times. of course his friend isn’t wearing shoes either, or really enough clothing to be proper for outing, yet it appears as if the reckless whirlwind with a leer behind his teeth doesn’t care. so he runs, pulls and uses all of his force to get Walter with him without letting him realize what was going on. still, he doesn’t say a single word, not until they have reached the entrance door. he turns around for a split second, all-smiles and glances into what he assumed were the eyes of a horrified deer.} We’re going for a ride, of course.
{`as soon as he laid eyes on the younger boy he could see how his entire face lit up, and that should've been his cue to spin around, get back inside and lock the door for days to come. but just like everything up until now things happened in such a fast pace that he barely managed to register what was going on. instead he heard the sound of jongin's laughter ring in his ears as he was pulled down the stairs. for a second he was determined to get some kind of control over the situation, but as soon as he was about to set things straight the stairs happened and he stumbled after the other, not really slowing down until they were situated at the base of the staircase, his chest slightly heaving as he took a few deep breaths to get back on track } What's-- {`he croaked out in an attempt to understand what was happening, but he got interrupted by jongin yet again. this time around his eyes widened and he straightened up as soon as the words settled inside his head in a way that made sense } Oh, no. {`he blatantly refused even if he hadn't been asked in the beginning. he knew full fell that the man in front of him was bad news in every shape and form, so it had been stupid enough of him to expect something different upon opening the door. but he knew one thing for certain -- he was not going to get inside a car with that maniac. if he did he probably wouldn't live to see another sunrise because he was clearly insane. and so he pulled his arm back and made quick work of attempting to turn around and take the stairs back up -- definitely not having any of his shit } I am not going for a ride with you.
down under,
—Gently sliding a finger around the rim of boxers that danced on his hips, he slipped around the sleeping forms of his team members towards the bathroom. Sharing a room with the group of males was almost overwhelming- and annoying, but at that moment all he could think of was getting to the the bathroom. It was a clear shot, the dorms bunkbeds giving just enough room to get into the bathroom by a couple feet and it was clean- thanks to one of the boys except for Ra’s side. What could he say? Most of his time was out of the room. Maybe he could have one of the boys help him organize his stuff- but that was the least of his worries.
—Slipping the boxers over his hips, the male released himself before fixing himself once more. Moving to the sink, the blonde danced unrulely over his face as he washed the slim pair of hands in the sink. Shaking them off, he lifted his head to look at his hair before taking the wet hands and slicking it through the hair. It was looking like a hat day, considering he didn’t feel like fighting with the hair.
—The tone begun to go off again, bringing him out of the bathroom to gently jogg to the bed where the phone had been tossed. Picking up the black Iphone, the male read over the males before letting out a light chuckle.
"Aish, this kid…" He muttered gently, before typing quickly a reply.
[ To: Walle ] [ SMS ] Always just your money [ SMS ] Pabo, don’t say things like that [ SMS ] No, I’ll pay. I have a place I wanna take u [ SMS ] Hurry and get ready
—Setting the phone back down on the bed, he moved towards his small shelf and begun to pull out some clothes. A nice loose shirt and a pair of harem pants was good enough, since the weather was warming up. It wasn’t perfect but it was enough that he could survive to get to the car. Company car. He was excited- he got to drive the company car. Well, he was going to with or without permission.
—Fifteen minutes later, he was out the door with a pair of keys and his phone and wallet in his back pocket. Heaving a gentle sigh, he put a pair of sunglasses over the dark eyes as he moved towards the garage- a short walk away but that meant passing the group of saesang’s waiting outside with a pair of cameras. But, he was able to slip past the group of chatting girls to be inside the concrete building.
—A white SUV was what he was looking at and tossing the pair of keys in his hand, a slight smirk pulled the corner of his lips. Shuffling forward, spinning on his toes, he was excited to see someone that had stayed by his side for what seemed like forever. And he was excited to get out of the building, smelling nice and looking good to see someone that knew him when he was at his lowest to see him come so far. If only he could pull his companion with him into this world- he deserved not to worry just a little bit and be admired.
With the phone on the desk he had a near heart-attack and jumped in his seat when it violently vibrated against the hard, wooden surface. “Jesus fucking—“ He cursed under his breath as he clutched at the fabric over his chest. Then he started laughing at his ridiculously vivid reaction and swiped his thumb across the screen to access the new texts. His smile never faltered and he gave Youngbae's nickname on his phone a playful tap as if he was mentally booping his nose.
[ text to baeby ] oh, a new place? [ text to baeby ] now i'm curious! [ text to baeby ] okay okay okay, i'll wait outside
As soon as he sent the texts he turned the computer off and pretty much dashed towards the bathroom, shredding every piece of clothing before he got inside. He needed to shower, and he needed to do it now. It only took him a couple of minutes to freshen up, and it took him about equally as much time to put a white t-shirt on along with a pair of jeans. It was weird, really, how this was the first opportunity in weeks that he got to wear anything but sweatpants or tights. Walter lazily dried his red hair with a towel, then he proceeded to simply shake it try do the point where he got a mild headache and almost turned dizzy. But regardless of that his wobbly steps towards his phone was taken with never-ending laughter at his own stupidity. After that he grabbed his wallet and was out through the door. The neighbor lady was heading up the stairs as he descended them, and he almost bumped into her in his sheer excitement to get outside. The collision was avoided by an agile leap to the side and the old woman's wrinkly visage spoke of glee. "Why, look at you today -- so full of life. You must've caught the spring fever." The lady chortled. Walter let out a string of laughter in return and waved her off with a rushed, yet merrily, 'have a nice day' before continuing down the stairs. Once outside he only remained seated in front of the entrance for a minute or so before he saw this big, white SUV come closer. It wasn't until the vehicle stopped and he caught a glimpse of Younbae's face through the window that he jumped up in surprise and admiration. "No way!" The dancer hurried towards the car, flashed his friend a wide grin before moving further to reach the passenger seat and wasted no time in opening the door. "No way." He repeated with excitement for the other to hear as well. He immediately got inside and put the seat-belt on in one swift movement. "This car is, like, the coolest thing I've ever seen! This is the company car, right? Man, you're one lucky bug." Once inside he couldn't help but smile as he gazed over at the one person he had been dying to meet. He had followed his activities online so he had admittedly kept himself up to date, but there was always this sense of relief upon seeing him in person. It was soothing, in a sense. Walter nuzzled his way further into the comfortable seat with a chuckle. "Hey, by the way. How are you?"
in your church at night,
Ever since the first time it happened Walter had made sure his father was aware of the fact that he ought to contact him, and no one else, whenever he needed to be bailed out. It's not like he could afford it himself, but he would absolutely hate for his mother to get such a call, and hence he had decided to take matter into his own hands. A solemn frown grazed his visage as he headed down the street with heavy steps and hands dejectedly shoved inside the pockets of his pants. This was the fifth time he got a call like this, and for every time he did his heart just sank that much deeper and it became noticeably harder to get back up. Truth to be told he wasn't all too sure how long he'd be manage to keep it up. But in an attempt to do what he assumed was right he headed towards the station where he had been many a times -- all visits regarding his father in one way or the other. There was a slight part of him that wanted to turn around and leave the grown man that his father was to fix his own problems, but he knew that wasn't an option. Instead he took a deep breath and stepped inside. Walter scanned the place with his gaze before he established eye-contact with a different officer than all the other times he had been there. He didn't know if this was good or bad, considering he didn't have enough money, but he hoped it'd be alright. The other officer used to cut him some slack whenever he noticed that he was short on cash. He cleared his throat, mostly for himself to make sure that his voice would carry itself as he spoke, and then he approach the man. "Hello, I'm here for Richard Cox?" Walter fished his wallet from out of his back pocket and opened it to quickly check just how much money he currently had. To his disappointment it wasn't as much as he had hoped, and he looked up at the other with slight nervousness lacing his voice. "How much is it to bail him out? I only have 900 000 won..."
