The Chinese 🇨🇳 bamboo takes 5 years to grow. Five long years 🐢. During that time, it doesn’t even break through the earth. Rather, it spends its time creating a deep network of roots. But over the course of those five years, it needs to be constantly watered 🚿 and nurtured. If left neglected, it will never see the light of day ☀️. However, after 5 years, it breaks through the ground and grows 90 feet tall within 5 weeks. Yes. Ninety feet. 🏔 So just imagine you planted these Chinese bamboo trees in your garden and your friends and family and neighbors watch you constantly caring and giving the earth attention. Your spouse sees you toiling day after day to no avail. There’s nothing in sight. “What are you doing?” they ask? While you know that it’s there, no one else can see it. Just imagine what they say to you. Things like, “why are you paying so much attention to the ground when nothing is happening?”, “Why continue to water and nurture the earth caring for something you cannot even see?” Or, “You do realize you’re just wasting your time with that right?” As entrepreneurs, we know this feeling. We know it all too well. We work tirelessly 😓 while sacrificing so much around us. But you know what? Good things take time ⏰ to evolve. And during that time, there will be problems. Violent and turbulent storms ⛈ will come and go. But you will weather them ☔️ And then, one day, you will wake up to the sounds of the ocean 🌊, sink your feet in the warm sand and realize that all the late nights and early mornings were worth it. All the naysayers and doubters and people who said it couldn’t be done will realize that you just did it. But more importantly, you made an enormous impact in this world. Remember. Never give up on your hopes and your dreams. No matter what happens, you are the only thing that can ever stand in your way. #nevergiveup #thoughtsarethings #coronadobeach #impactandincome (at Coronado, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/BtLmn0Fl4FS/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1kuwkaudyr2yu
