From sharing covers on social media, to signing an international record deal with Universal Music ( @afroforce1) . One can't help but be in awe of the hard work and the undeniable talent that Mikhale Jones possesses.

Apart from her silky-smooth vocals, and emotionally captivating lyrics, Mikhale’s work explores and personifies the intricacies of vulnerability, honesty and communication (or lack thereof) within a broken romantic relationship.

During our virtual sit down the Johannesburg-based artist talks to me about the inspiration behind her highly anticipated album titled It Is What It Is, the challenges she has faced as well as how her musical journey started.
