What would the guys (dokugumi) usually smells like?

Like do you think they have a signature smell that when you smell something it reminds you of them or that when the smell hits your nose you immediately knows it's them

Savon

A strong rich oriental cologne made of amber, oud, cinnamon, and cloves would be so good on him. The kind of scent that grabs the attention of everyone around him. Not because it's laid too heavily on but because it just smells hot. Speaking of heat he also smells smoky from his bombs and cigarettes. That tobacco smell definitely follows him around as an undertone to his cologne but it mixes together nicely.

Ozone

I feel like just a strong laundry detergent smell of freshly clean clothes would be his usual scent. Maybe every so often he'll put on a vanilla parfum that smells exactly like sugar cookies. Just a sweet comforting scent that's not overbearing.

Smog

I immediately clock him as smelling like straight up garbage. There's a price to be paid for loving kimchi and for smog it's smelling like a horrid combination of vinegary body odor that is barely covered up by a strong musky cologne. Luckily if you're around him enough you can become nose blind to the kimchi scent that clings to him but to strangers he smells absolutely awful.

CO2

He smells like a chemical concoction of multiple art supplies all mixed together. Like almost to the point it burns your nose is how strongly he smells of alcohol markers and acrylic paint. Add that to a subtler dusty kind of scent from getting all his clothes from the thrift store since I head cannon him to be a thrifting God because of his fashion.

Tumblr March 2026 Blackouts

So we're all pissed at the new update as we should be and I've been seeing many people proposing blackouts, which is amazing! But all the dates are different and people might get confused at what's happening when, so I just want to organize every blackout (at least that I saw) in one place.

So far I saw six people with dates.

The earliest one, organized by @yourlocalfandomfriendo begins on March 18th and will last 48 hours.

This overlaps with a second proposed blackout by @veejiez for March 19th.

There is also one on the 20th proposed by @daysleftofsecondterm and another one on the same day from 6AM UTC to 6AM UTC on the 21st by @everythingwsnormalhere.

EDIT: someone just sent in another call to blackout action for the 19th and 20th by @mattpurplehoodie, who shared links for Magma and WhiteboardFox for anyone who wants to hang out there during the blackouts.

These three days are all very soon so not everyone may see them in time to participate, but if you are able to participate for any or all of these days, I highly encourage you do. Otherwise there are two more blackouts coming up:

The next one after these will be on March 24th as organized by @aroacesafeplaceforall who suggested doing 12 hours.

And the last one, which I personally have a lot of hope for as it's a major day for activity on Tumblr and a blackout then could be especially impactful: April 1st, as proposed by @darkwood-sleddog

SO OVERALL, it may sound like a lot, but no one expects everyone to participate to every date here. But PLEASE try to participate in at least one or two of these, even if you feel it may not do much.

Typical strikes, the ones we hear about all the time, win by withholding their labour for consistent periods of time; that's the power people have at work because that's what's exploited.

For blackout strikes, we need to withhold our attention; the resource we own which is exploited through the selling of both advertisements and data.

My comparison of blackout strikes with regular strikes will be for a whole other post, but for the time being, just know that

withholding our attention is our digital bargaining weapon

.... new au idea

What if the Beastars universe has no segregation at all and they all live normal lives but performance art is a very big thing in that au

Drama club members experiences are actually really important in that au and it actually can give them plus points in highschool & college, joining a performance art club (theater/drama) whether your a performer or bg staff can actually give you a lot of benefits just like a sports athletes do as in it could actually give you college funds

Soo the performance art in the west & east are very different, and then the ones in different contingents and countries are also very different as well cause they all have their own culture that is being put in their performance art

I say Louis is a performer from the west while Legoshi is a background staff from the east and Haru isn't involved directly in the performance art but because her family runs a flower shop they usually get commissions for a performance (property) and of course for gifts to performers and/ bg staff

There are some characters roles that i have thought about in this au like

Gohin being a doctor

Miguel can be a staff in a physical therapy institution for performers who were injured

Jinma, Ibuki, Dope could be someone who manages financial stuff or they could be lawyers

Sabu could be a maintenance guy or part of the maintenance team cause theaters especially historical ones need to be preserved or someone can get injured, also maintenance are called and have a lot more work than usual when there is an event coming

Dolph could be a part of the security team cause people like Oguma and performers can be said to be highly valuable so yeah security is pretty tight in this au

I think many people would say that Hino is fitting to be a performer and yes he could be that but i don't think he would like to have many eyes on him so he chose to be a dance instructor or make up artists or both

Agata can probably be a performer or a part of the security team, i think he would be a performer on ice cause i remember @garnet-cow saying that Agata can ice skate

Hmm i think Free could be a part of security or maintenance team or or he could be part of background staff team the uh property department (the big ones)

Rain hehe I'm gonna make him a dance instructor with an injured leg, he's a pretty famous dancer when he was still performing and even after his retirement (because of his injury) many animals still knows him and wanted to be taught by him but Rain is known to not accept students

His base is ballet, but he can adapt to many dance moves. Many said that while being injured he pushed himself to perform on one of the biggest events in performance art history and it was a success but after the curtains fell he was immediately rushed to the hospital, and on the next day he announced his retirement but his performer partner who is his older sister still continues her performance without him (she's a singer)

I haven't thought about anything for Savon 🥲 (but I'm open to ideas, @wannabite do you have any ideas on what Savon role is in this au? Also maybe a role idea on a murder mystery au)

I think Ten can be a performer, i say a chinese opera performer

Should i make Yahya a performer that his base is ballet? Maybe, but he could also be a detective or someone in the law department cause of course there are still criminal cases in this au

Gosha i say he's someone who has architecture knowledge and he has the capability of being a bg staff in the property department but he chose not to but his grandson did, also i think I'm gonna make Gosha a part of the law department like Yahya

I think it would be fun if Savon is a writer or directs plays. Mostly I'm basing this off of the one time Paru mentioned that he reads poetry and who is one of the most famous poets: William Shakespeare! So Savon could be not only writing poems but also writing out whole plays. Maybe even taking Shakespeare plays like The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet and putting his own spin on it. Or even just leaving the script the way it is but finding good actors to bring the story to life. If he was a director I would be confident in assuming he's not going to do the source material a disservice. Of course he would also do plays based off of stories from the east. I'm just not familiar with any Asian poets. If only poems could be perfectly translated from different languages.

If Savon was in a murder mystery I wouldn't be surprised if he's the murderer lol. But let's say he's an innocent bystander, I feel like he would be just a side character. He doesn't give me the feeling that he would go out of the way to figure out who the murderer is. I think he would probably be cleared of suspicion early on too but I'm not sure.

What I think the Shishigumi's Chinese zodiac signs are

Ibuki

•The tiger represents strength and leadership in a way that complements Ibuki's "King of beasts" mentality. You can just tell he has natural authority because the others trusted him with little to no argument in his decision to make Louis their new leader.

• Another part of a good leader is someone who looks after those who are dependent on them. Louis may technically have been above Ibuki in hierarchy but since he was younger Ibuki still put his all into protecting him. He shielded him from danger and fed him because in Ibuki's mind Louis was his responsibility and Ibuki would never neglect his responsibilities.

•the biggest negative of the tiger sign is their recklessness that comes out as a consequence of their courage. This was especially seen in Ibuki the day he died. He was used to sticking his neck out when he was younger to prove himself to the chief but letting himself die so Louis could go free is a whole different ballgame of recklessness. Not a single bit of self preservation held Ibuki back from throwing away his life for someone he deemed as having more worth than himself.

Free

•unfortunately for this feline I think he matches the zodiacs' dog the most. Free is after all very loyal as shown in the manga when he happily welcomed back Louis despite previously threatening him to never enter the BAM again.

•those with the dog zodiac are also extremely playful. This can be easily compared to Free's touchy nature with his friends in the Shishigumi. Always wrapping his arms around those he cares about and brightly smiling. Of course Free can be serious when he needs to be but similar to a dog nine times out of ten Free is going to be in a good mood.

•the dogs' negative quality is that they represent somebody who has a hard time finding stability or satisfaction in their life. Always chasing to and from each thing that excites them. And despite Free being extremely loyal to the Shishigumi he is not the type to be loyal to a female. He will sabotage his relationships due to he insecurities and when the loneliness eats him alive he'll be back outside looking for someone else to hold till he gets bored again.

Dolph

• The ox is similar to the tiger in strength but also has major differences. While the tiger jumps head first into situations the ox represents someone with a lot of patience. Both Ibuki and Dolph could lead the Shishigumi but only Dolph could survive that scenario. Dolph shows his patience mostly when he is in a fight. Like when he calmly tracked the spots on a leopards arm before blocking their upcoming attack.

•the ox also has a lot of determination inside of them which stops them from giving up. Dolph could have easily died from blood loss when Melon slit his throat but Dolph held on to his life. He bid his time like a predator waiting for his wound to heal till he could jump back into the Shishigumi. Where he unknowingly protected Agata from getting into a fight to the death with Melon.

•however their stubbornness also has drawbacks. If Dolph had told anyone in the Shishigumi that he was still alive, he was getting better, or that he will be fine. Then Agata would never have volunteered to be the one to stand up against Melon. The Shishigumi wouldn't have even had the conversation about overthrowing Melon in the first place.

Agata

•For Agata I was stuck between the pig and the rabbit for a little bit but I ultimately decided he was more similar to the rabbit. Rabbits are described as friendly pacifists that get along well with everyone but are also very deeply connected to their emotional side. Easily becoming defensive when they feel even the slightest bit of betrayed.

•Agata is after all the baby of the group so that could be the reason for his easily made friendships in the shishigumi but I think he's also just the type of guy you would want to be friends with. He has just got such a lovable face, anyone would want to protect or help him in some way.

•The rabbits weakness I most wanted to mention is their cowardice. I mentioned this earlier that in the manga Agata volunteered to kill Melon but I didn't mention that Agata was secretly afraid to. He literally describes how light his hybrid boss weighs yet still terrifies him. Even going as far as making Agata contemplate cutting off his mane because the mantle of being a dark maned lion and therefore and natural leader was getting too much for him to bear.

Sabu

•the snake is the most wise of the zodiacs and it is easy to imagine Sabu as a snake. As the oldest lion of his group he has the life experiences to be able to pass on his wisdom. He also perfectly matches a snake's intuition.

•People with the snake as their zodiac are also considered very silent and graceful. Sabu is the definition of that times ten. The type of lion who has perfected the art of being an ambush predator.

•a negative quality of the snake is how suspicious they are of others. Years of being in a gang would naturally cause anyone to be cautious but with Sabu's cold expression an argument could be made that he is more cautious than the other lions in the Shishigumi.

Miguel

•I wouldn't say the horse is a perfect match for Miguel's personality since he's not stubborn but it is close. Horses are energetic, responsible, helpful, and make swift decisions. He's definitely energetic just based of his physique alone and I'm sure he is a valuable member within the shishigumi when it comes to aiding the others.

•As for responsibility, I would argue Miguel is one of the most responsible members of the gang. When they hid Louis from Melon, Miguel was the one who jumped in and lied saying he ate a deer. Not only did Melon easily forgive Miguel after the lion apologized but Free also complemented Miguel on his humility.

•Now I don't have much proof for any stubbornness or other negative horse qualities but I do have a head cannon that Miguel doesn't enjoy being a gangster and following out orders from his boss/bosses. Mostly this is based on his thoughts when the shishigumi gave Legosi brand new concrete shoes for a beach trip in the manga. I found it interesting that Miguel had reservations about it but kept his mouth shut.

Jinma

•the monkey represents a good communicator and someone who is quick witted. Jinma as someone who makes it his duty to know everybody in the black market represents this well. He's friendly to everyone and if need be he can quickly adapt to any danger that comes his way.

•the monkey is also a representation of curiosity and if any of the lions resemble a primates need to figure out how the world works it would be the lion that goes out and wanders just for fun. No plans, head empty, just gonna go for a little walk and see who he manages to bump into.

•a negative quality of the monkey is their selfishness. Representing the type of person who looks out for their own hide before worrying for others. I don't think Jinma would be selfish in a narcissistic way but I do think he would just not trust others to look after himself so he matches that energy and doesn't look after anyone else. Of course Jinma still cares about the Shishigumi's success but in his mind one's own well-being should be their top priority.

Dope

•I read something interesting about the rat sign that said rats are very cautious to the point they will strategically plan how to interact with those around them. Usually by hoarding a bunch of secrets to themselves or by tweaking their own behavior to match those around them. I sure you can see already how well that matches our negotiator Dope.

•rats are also described as being very sociable despite preferring their alone time. Dope strikes me as the type of guy who is always trying to be one step of ahead of anyone else but that mindset can get pretty lonely fast so I would say the rat is a pretty good match for Dope's personality.

•Similar to some other zodiacs one of the rats strengths is also one of their weaknesses. In the rats case they can easily be lead astray by their cautiousness. Looking too much into the finer details and missing the bigger picture that others could easily notice. Dope hasn't behaved this way in the manga but I like the head cannon that he tends to overthink.

Hino

•You known what would add to Hino's insane charisma, if he had the most coveted zodiac: a dragon. The dragon represents someone comfortable in their own skin with a healthy confidence. The kind of confidence that gives someone lots of romantic partners and good job opportunities. Hino embodies that pretty well since by Louis says Hino brings in jobs for the shishigumi.

•the dragon is also considered to be a zodiac for optimistic types. What with all the success a dragon would theoretically have in their life why wouldn't they also see the world in a positive light. I don't think this matches Hino that well but no zodiac sign rings completely true for anyone. Especially since everyone interprets what each zodiac in associated with differently.

•a dragons' worse drawback is their arrogance. Now Hino's never been rude to anyone in the manga but if you were an albino male lion with a gorgeous mane and body... It wouldn't be unreasonable to become arrogant.

A/N: Happy Lunar New Year! It has been such a long time since I posted so I figured I would write something I came up with myself before tackling my drafts. Anyways we are leaving behind the year of the snake and entering the year of the horse. A fire horse to be exact and I can only hope this means good things for 2026. 2025 just sucked so hard on a global level I will gladly accept any fortune that says anything positive. BTW fun fact I was born in the year of the rooster 🐓.

Do you have any favorites from the Dokugumi or do you love them equally?

My favorite from the Dokugumi is 100% Savon. I have always found him attractive and I get giddy just thinking about this muscular venomous lizard reading poetry and monologuing in a fight. Honestly between him and the shishigumi I would jump at the chance to have Savon. Doesn't even matter if he has or doesn't have the mask on. I want him so bad I wish I would stop falling for minor characters is fandoms but it always happens that my favorite is not a main character.

As for what animal I would want to be I think I'd like to be a turkey vulture. When I was a little kid I always would watch the turkey vultures soaring in the sky when walking home from school and it was so calming. I had to move up north a couple years ago and now I hardly see any of them anymore. I definitely miss them. Also vultures are just cool. Like maybe it would be nice to be a reptile just chilling but birds fly.

Do you have any idea or hc on what the rest of the Dokugumi members eye color would be?

Also maybe their scale color as well

For scale color I imagine them all as a similar shade of a dusty grey like komodo dragons in real life. I think that color would look the best in contrast to Savon's lilac scales.

For Ozone I think he would have some warm tone for his eyes that just feels homey. I liked your head cannon about him doing origami. He's definitely the most kind and the sweetest oldest brother. So definitely some comforting shade of orange or yellow. Now that I think about it I could see him with eyes that resemble like warm tone lamps.

Smog gives me the vibes of a middle child who's been vilified and forced to grow up fast. So I think a muted green could go well with Smog. Like to represent him once being full of life and then slowly loosing his hope to be anything but a gangster.

CO2 is the one I'm most unsure of. He's very creative artistically and down to Earth. So I was thinking maybe an orange or a warm brown. Though I know you used brown for a lot of the others already.

Kinktober day 17: waterworks with Sabu

The greasy metal tin concealing his lower half as you hear the snap of his belt buckle coming undone. Teeth chewing on your nails pause with a small spark of confidence to try something. Your feet slowly stepping Infront of each other as you inch over to the dumpster. His zipper being pulled down as you hum to get his attention. His head turnt around slowly with an eyebrow raised as you begin to stutter over your words. Leaning against the filthy dumpster as you say "I-Uhh I don't think you should have to pee on the ground".

Sabu's masked mug turns back around before replying "I already explained to you I didn't want to stop at a restaurant. I don't mind taking a piss outside".

His raspy voice carried through the wind as you glance down longingly at the torn open black garbage bags filling the dumpster. Scavengers must have smelt the bones and fat hidden away under the cardboard boxes. In a way you're kinda like a scavenger, wanting to dive in and consume what someone else deems waste. Shove your mouth full till the food spills from your lips so you can run away to a dark corner to take your time in feasting. Hunched over your hoarded scraps on concrete with your hands digging in the bloody fur. Driven by hunger and a lack of shame as you bluntly ask "What if you peed in my mouth instead?".

Sabu hand on the base of his shaft stilling as he whips around to meet your gaze again. Eyes bulging out of his skull as he chastises you "You can't joke about that. You should be more serious and careful with your words or you'll get yourself hurt".

Tilting your head to the side before you silently step around the dumpster. Stopping Infront of Sabu so you can crouch down Infront of him. Fake leather boots creasing with your sudden movement as you steady yourself by holding onto his knees. Tongue sliding out of your mouth and waiting patiently as you look forward towards his cock.
