Heya, I know I've been posting a lot of the car on my story, but I figured I'd drop a few progress photos in the news feed. It's been a wild ride so far & in addition to that I just wanted to say how grateful I am to have you all & your support. I have been trying to stay on top of responding to everyone's messages & I am going to try to be more active on Instagram again. This year has been extremely difficult so far & I'm just trying to push through it. Things are finally starting to get better & I really appreciate all of the love & support from everyone. So, there's that. The past month & 1/2 has been interesting to say the least. I started in this competition because as a single Mom, the allure of winning $25,000.00 within a couple of months is something that I would have to be absolutely insane to pass up. There were apparently over 13,000 Women from all over the place who started this out on June 3rd. The past 1.5 months has given me a bunch of new opportunities, the ability to find some sort of confidence within myself, and has shown me how much support I have from some people who I would least expect it to be from. It also showed me that some people whom I consider(ed) close friends/family couldn't bother to take 30 seconds out of their day even once. *you wasn't with me shooting in the gymmmm* Most importantly it really did open my eyes to the people who have my back fully no matter how silly something might seem to be. I entered a competition full of gorgeous Women with their professional grade photos, obvious modeling experience, confidence that beams in their seemingly flawless photos. In the past 1.5 months only ONE person had something negative to say to me about this experience. And that really stood out to me. Because here I am, the weird heavy chick putting myself on blast publicly and literally 99.9% of the reactions I recieved were all lovely & kind. I really am so thankful for that. I wish I could convey it better in words. But to have been one of the remaining 2,000 people out of 13,000+ was far beyond anything I could've imagined. I held within the top 5 of the group for 95% of the competition. I missed the cutoff tonight by the one spot I got bumped from 2 days ago and I'm still in shock that I even made it this far past the initial round.
