I was sipping my latte at a Starbucks when a father and his two kids sat at my table waiting for their drinks to be ready and in hand of a kid which I believe is like 10, is the new Call of Duty game. I started playing these "Violent" video games when I was like fourteen (Half-life and it's Mod, Counter-Strike) armed with the awareness given by my parents and myself that it's a dang game and in real life it will not be good if it happened so it better stay in the game. I only hope the same talk was had with the kid before popping the disc in, updating the xbox and downloading ridiculous amounts of game update data. I don't want that kid blindly playing the game especially with the nature of multiplayer and getting all the wrong ideas and using it in the real world, it's rated M for a reason folks! Now I need to fire up the ps4 and hope I won't be frustrated by campers and people generally faster than me.

Stepping aside.

I like to pull a Paul Miller (they guy that didn’t use the Internet for a year) myself. I’ve already deleted reddit because it’s taking too much of my time and I need to get away from stuff.

There are too many great photos from Instagram, a flood of news and commentary on Twitter. Tumblr, well… I put stuff in it but not consume it. And I could go on and on.

And other things too that I’m jealous of, people going overseas to overseas Disney parks. On a Disney Cruise. Taking photos with better gear. Going on places and events I have no chance of getting to participate in a distant future. Better careers and flaunting about it. Talking about new phones, watches and tablets that I cannot afford. And this hurts me the most: having a significant other in their life.

My real meat space is a bore and the city is quite dangerous if I’m in the wrong place at the wrong time, that’s true everywhere but the odds of it here happening is a bit higher than what I like to. But looking around the safety of my room. I have games, books and movies that I could enjoy and learn offline while being isolated from what is causing me grief.

With that said. I’m spending less time online. I’m already hopping on Instagram once a day. What I could do is keep Netflix and my podcasts that I listen. Same with very important email, shopping and banking that ain’t going away. The rest of the time. I’ll finish books and watch my movies and explore the special features that I paid for!

And after having reconciled and have better control of my feelings and my life gets is a lot better. Let’s go back to Dis(ney world or land)!

I haven't used my tumblr home page in a long time for rants but hear me out. I'm not paying ungodly amount of money for cellular service. I have PAYG/prepaid on the t-mobile network with a capable Windows phone down to the bare necessities. And I can use either a ipad or an android nexus tablet at home or on the go via WiFi which the costs per month is way cheaper that those $100 cell plans. Also take advantage of free WiFi, voip, Skype, whatever. The hardware and monthly costs is still way less.

ESPN. The most expensive cable channel with the stuff a lot of people love and will pay though the nose to get it, consumers and cable providers. Just like Disneyland! The most expensive theme park with a stuff a lot of people love and will pay though the nose to get in, guests and businesses alike. Funny and sad they are under one company which also has Marvel and Star Wars (Lucasfilm) under one roof.

I HAVE WAY TOO MANY WAYS TO GET A HOLD OF ME!

I have like multiple phone numbers (one real and very personal cellphone, and multiple "virtual" numbers courtesy of those free texting apps and Google), multiple email addresses, twitter, this (tumblr), instagram, whatever! I need to consolidate them all into something that I'm comfortable with and sure that a.) I won't miss a thing and b.) Still have control and my privacy won't be thrown out a window.

On photos and negatives.

I'm afraid that someday, these photos I post online will disappear or somehow i lose control of it. I'm also afraid that I lose the edited photos on my storage devices since I'm bad at organizing and I have some photos on this folder and that folder and that dropbox or google drive or Flickr or instagram. But I'm confident I won't lose the original from-the-camera JPEGS from my visits to Disney by the virtue of I back them up immediately once home from the parks onto 3 places, the laptop I have and 2 different external hard drives. They are only organized by year but I'm confident the EXIF data will take care of the exact time and date. And if that's not enough, the edited photos that end up on instagram, tumblr, etc are backed-up on dropbox and more recently, Google Drive. I've poured hundreds of hours into making the photos look the way I wanted to to tell a story or to make someone smile that day they see my photos.

I don't know if I'll be back at Disneyland in time to see the Easter characters. Sure, I can throw more money at it to solve the problem (my current days off=blocked days.) But I don't want to splurge on so called "fun". My frugality extends to Disney. So I said to my self 2 months ago before I exited the gates and rode home " I don't know when I can be back, so goodbye for now!" I'll use this downtime to be jealous of other people visiting the parks, learn photography and self improvement in general. Also wantsback2dis.com , the domain name, will be no more as I will let that name expire.

Trivia: this is how I heard "Let it go" for the 1st time. At World of Color. Then I was about to watch Frozen over at AMC Downtown Disney that night, was too late in the evening so I watched it the week after.

I knew it was something special after seeing that WoC frozen segment. And I'm still waiting for that crazy wish to come true. Its really out of my control.

So the rest of the family decided to watch Frozen. Screw that! I have Tangled on my blu-ray deck! (Sarcasm aside. There is a lot more going on with the characters and dialog from Tangled than Frozen. But the VFX/eye candy on the latter is way more.)

What sorcery is this?!? Nearly 4 months in and still available to view in a movie theater at regular ticket prices even if the DVD is out. This movie is gonna make 2nd run theaters really really happy!

Follow-up to Frozen and Digital Copies.

Ok, you finally got Frozen on Blu-Ray like i did and it promises a Digital Copy.  Good, so you don't have to rip it yourself with questionable software depending on where you got it or worse.  But what if you have a android phone and a iPad/Apple TV/Apple whatever.  In the scheme of things, you can only have one digital copy per movie.  But there is a way to have Frozen on both devices.

You must have a Disney Movie Rewards and Disney Movies Anywhere and iTunes accounts already and have them all connected together (DMR is linked to DMA then its linked to iTunes.)

Ready to enter the code?  Stop and before you even get close to those places, go to digitalcopyplus.com 1st and redeem the code from that site.  It will ask you if you want the DMA + iTunes combo, nope...Scroll down and you can choose anything else other than iTunes.  In my case, i used Google Play.  Hit redeem and i have Frozen ready to play on my Nexus 7 tablet.

Now you have a license to play that sweet movie on the droids, you may now head over to Disney Movie rewards, enter the same code from the Blu-Ray insert then claim your points and it will tell Disney Movies Anywhere that "Hey, this guest can play Frozen!" which in turn tells iTunes you have a copy, let Him/Her download it on the iPad/iTunes on the PC or stream it to Apple TV.

Congratulations!  You have built a snowman and an ice castle.

I cannot guarantee this will work if you did the other way around, it may mark the code as used/redeemed for iTunes if you want to have a copy for Google Play/Amazon/Vudu.

I'm no Nostradamus but I predict Frozen in 3D blu-ray and with the special features that are actually special in nature will be offered free at Disney Movie Rewards with enough points within 18 months. Heck, we got Tangled in 3D blu-ray being offered at a reasonable points.

When I get my copy of Frozen tomorrow. I'll go ahead and I'll enter the code at Disney Movie rewards to get some sweet points which then will add the movie to my attached Disney Movies Anywhere account which is then attached to my iTunes account so it will be playable on the iPad and other iOS devices I got around, no ripping required. Then after that, I'll go to another Disney website at digital copy plus, enter the same code and this time, redeem a copy for Google play so the android gadgets will get some warm hugs too. I know for the fact the 1st part will work. How about the 2nd part with redeeming the code for Google play? Will work or they will close that hole once they figure out you have a iTunes copy already? And for the record, I have to keep track where I have my purchased media. ITunes for the Disney movies and early "digital copy" movies. Amazon for the books and most of my meager mp3 collection. Google play for some movies and songs moving forward. All 3 have separate app stores. Oh my!
