Outdoor Survival Hack: Carry a pencil sharpener with you to make quick tinder for starting a fire!
Love this idea. Small and easy to carry - yet perfect for a pocket fire starter like the ones at WantThatGadget. http://bit.ly/1FhktEm
I’m in love with this knife. Only about 12 bucks, sharp as hell and fun to use http://bit.ly/19zgR5C
How to Make a Survival Stove
Cut two 330ml soda cans, use the bottom third (concave side)
Punch 6 holes around the rim of one
Stuff filler (i.e. fiberglass, cotton, etc) in the other
Put the two together, with holes side up and over the filler side
Punch 3 more holes in the ‘bowl’ of the holes side
Pour alcohol (e.g. spirit, denatured, isopropyl, etc) into the ‘bowl’
Enjoy the heat! (for about 15 minutes)

This is awesome. But for 6 bucks you can have a real stove: http://bit.ly/19zcWpp
Ah I can’t wait to live like this when I’ve finally finished the academic life that is university.
