It started out innocently enough. An item missing from supplies here or there, the kitchen seemingly having been raided in the middle of the night. Nothing to be concerned about…could have been any of the team at any time, really.
But then specific things started disappearing. Things from the…
Soldier was furious, she had lost some of her personal items. The rest of the team have been talking about random items from their inventories have gone missing. Spy complained how her cigarettes have been missing, a knife or two and a revolver of hers, added a case of ammunition. Demolady had said she thought it was a ghost at first, but when she found some of her liquors gone she started getting suspicious.
They had an meeting about the conflict and all of them have conveyed their complaints. Engineer brought on an idea to put more security cameras, but they ended up destroyed before she could even put the up. Scout said there was some remains in the sewers of the fort, a vote came up to whom shall investigate. If it was an enemy Spy they would send Pyro.
All that could really be seen, on reviewing the tapes that did remain, was an occasional glimpse of something that looked large and scaled, flashing past a more well-hidden camera here or there. Still, whatever it was, it was most definitely down there beneath them, and would need to be dealt with.
Engineer checked the cameras that lived, hourly. Sitting in Soldier’s spot of the security room. Miss Debbie was getting paranoid, what was this thing? Or was it two things? One half of the footage she had was a man then the other was a large snake like body. Both would sometimes end up, but that was rare. It was defiantly a navy suit and hat was able to be seen on the man, the snake according to Sniper was a reticulated python that was mysteriously Blue in scales. Everything else to blurry or unseen.
And so it remained, until the night said Engineer woke with the resounding suspicion that someone…or someTHING, was in her workshop. Hard to say what the noise had been that woke her, but the following silence was far too complete.
When she woke from the noise of clanking metal, she immediately sprang up. Running to her shop, it was eerily quiet. She looked around to see who or what it was. She looked around scratching her head. “This darn tootin intruder is getting to me, Must’ve been one of Johnny’s Opossums…” She huffed and sat on her cot, well what room was left on her cot from all the metal taking up most of the room. She groaned, frustrated with this whole predicament.
And as soon as she sat, a hand covered her mouth from behind. An invisible hand. Well, mostly invisible; the shimmer of a disturbed cloak was clear as day. “Stay silent. Move or scream and I cut your throat now. I would prefer not to deal with the mess.” The voice was male, and growled into her ear from behind.
'It's a spah' she immediately thought when she was grabbed. She sat still, not wanting to die today. She wasn't technically afraid but pretty much surprised.
