It's probably too good to be true and may never come to fruition but apparently the current owners of MySpace are intending to bring it back, directly in response to how bad social media has gotten.
The new Musician version of MySpace is still there and I tried to join it last night, but account creation is broken.
Assuming there's people out there still using the current form of MySpace, I wonder how they're going to integrate it.
Personally I never got to use the original MySpace because I was too young, so if they're really going to bring that experience back, I'm excited.
