“Oh God, you’re not gonna pull a Wyatt on me are you?” He asked with a roll of his eyes. Honestly their whole family was annoyingly over-protective, it actually wound up pissing him off most of the time. Not that he didn’t do the same exact thing to them, but that was different. He was the second-oldest, it was his job to look after them.
He cocked his head to the side, smirking. “Who says I didn’t? Well, partially anyway. The moron unfortunately lost a leg. And I’m sure you’re gonna love making stuff you don’t like go boom. Trust me, it’s addicting.”
Pulling out a piece of paper, the Darklighter chanted. “What’s mine is yours, what’s yours is mine, let our powers cross the line. I offer up this gift to share, switch the powers through the air.”
She stood next to her cousin, reading the spell along with him over his shoulder. Patience had to smile that he had the spell on him already. Of course he would have known she’d be interested in this little experiment. She watched the white lights that were their powers leave their respective bodies and switch over. If she were honest, she didn’t really feel all that different but that never meant a spell hadn’t worked.
Cautiously, she stepped away from Matthew, narrowing her eyes at a nearby lamp. With a glance down at her hand, she gave it a flick. Instead of the lamp exploding into a million pieces, the wall about a foot to its left splintered rather spectacularly. Okay, so her aim was off, but their powers had definitely been switched.
Her grin was wide as she turned back to her cousin, excitement clear on her face. “Alrighty then, let’s go teach this jerk a lesson about messing with Halliwells.”
