Welcome to Summer Fever, a.k.a. the week that the planet earth went to utter hell. Well rather, it was brought to the brink of collapse on many fronts. While the planet was the middle of a war zone between two titans and the very universe is threatened by Dormammu, other forces threaten the day to day life of civilians in the cities of Gotham & Metropolis when a new fear toxin is released, enhanced individuals are kidnapped, and government information is leaked out. Thanks to the combined forces of multiple teams, the day was saved! The following events take place immediately after the blackout, culminating in hard-fought victories for all heroes (and some villains who decided to rise to the occasion and lend a hand to save their planet).
This plot drop takes place immediately at the end, where the hard-fought victories have been won. We are looking to establish connections between teammates and other teams, blending our universe once more. Below you will see exactly what happened to each team during their missions, and can have your characters react accordingly. You may wish to have them injured (not too severely without running it by an admin), or you may simply wish for them to cement a bond made with a new brother-in-arms. We want you to explore this, and as such we are including everyone in this. Civilian characters may react as if they were caught in the crossfire, were covering it on the news, or merely watching from the sidelines. The teams are fixed to those on the #rosters page, which is why I mentioned it yesterday. What you see in the following info drops are what happened, and it is canon your character teamed up and helped out in some capacity. That capacity is up to you, but try to have some fun with it. The world was nearly destroyed several times over, and our heroes gave their all to save it. So enjoy, have fun! You never know what may be lurking next~
Avengers and Justice League with the help of the Guardians of the Galaxy and all the Lantern Corps staved off a battle that saw Earth becoming a war zone. When two titans of the universe go head-to-head, it's Earth's Mightiest Heroes and many more that rise to the occasion in order to keep the battle from reaching our atmosphere. Both Darkseid's and Thanos's forces are at war, and the Sol System is where their forces come head to head. It's all out war, and it takes all these forces to keep the only inhabited planet in that solar system safe from collateral damage. Mars takes a heavy hit, and Venus is almost obliterated, but the combined forces manage to drive the battle away to a more remote area of space. In the chaos, Tony Stark is considered missing in action, and after suffering a significant injury, Wonder Man of Themyscira has returned home to heal. These teams fight hard, knowing peace will never be an option between these opposing forces. They will be taking a short breather to recoup their energy, find all those that are missing in action, before heading back out to settle the fight once and for all
Dormammu, Lord of the Dark Dimension, takes this opportunity to strike against the world. With Stephen Strange preoccupied with the fight against the great forces of Thanos and Apokolips, he prepares his assault. Upon making quick work of the remaining sorcerer's that were meant to protect the realm from the forces of evil such as him, Dormammu's realm begins to bleed into ours. It takes the combined forces of the Future Foundation and the Justice League Dark to push him back, entrapping him in the Dark Dimension once more.
At the same time all of this is happening S.H.I.E.L.D. in conjunction with the Titans and Young Avengers come together to stop Deathstroke the Terminator and Taskmaster from selling a list of undercover agents on the black market to the highest bidder. This list, which is compromised of a litany of agents from both S.H.I.E.L.D. and A.R.G.U.S. who had been partnering on several operations across the globe, has been leaked and needed to be recovered before the secrets were spilled. Although the stakes were high, and the battle hard fought, the good guys save the day, and with it countless lives and hours of hard work by those working in the intelligence sector.
While all of this is happening, the Sinister Six, comprised of Doctor Octopus, Electro, Kraven the Hunter, Shocker, Sandman, and Vulture, establish a working relationship with Dr. Jonathan Crane, a.k.a. Scarecrow. Together they plan to unleash a new strain of the Scarecrow's fear toxin across the city of Gotham. Knowing that time is not on their side, those that wear the emblem of a spider, or those that ally themselves with someone who does, partner up with the Birds of Prey and the Defenders to take down this unpleasant union. Although several of the good guys wind up getting dosed with this harmful aerosol, they are successful in the end. The mental toll may leave a lasting mark however...
The vile organization known as H.I.V.E. has struck again, this time kidnapping young metahuman and mutant teens to sell to the highest bidder. Several strikes are reported around the globe, the taken youngster's powers shown for all to see. Soon enough, those very teens are bought up, causing an increase in demand for these new super weapons. When a rash of disappearances of their ranks occurs, the Teen Titans and X-Men team-up to bring down this terrible organization, and more importantly, to bring those taken back home.
