Strength of a Warrior {Drogo and Xena}
Drogo waited until the woman reached their mounts and awaited her answer to his question. Irri, a short and dark haired woman from the khalasar, approached the khal in case he needed any translation. She was one of the few dothraki that understood the common tongue properly.
Drogo furrowed his brows, looking down from his stallion at the woman presented to him. It was clear she was no common woman, her clothing and weapons clearly stated she was a warrior. Quite the vision, since it was not common for women to become warriors. That was the men’s job, to battle for lands and protect their women and children, not the other way around. Given the fact she was alone, Drogo figured she was more than able to defend herself if need be.
- We are dothraki. - Drogo replied. - I am Khal Drogo and these are my people. We are warriors, returning home. - He explained shortly. - Who are you?
Peering around for a minuet, Xena let her sights land on the girl coming forth to the leader's side. She was a short woman, not unexpected for the warrior herself, since she was around six two in height. But, impressive none the less, for she seemed to be the translator for the leader of this massive army of men and woman.
Still, her attention on the girl last merely a second as she once more peered at both the men in armor and the woman that stood behind them holding babe's in their arms or food. A sight that caused her to shake her head before looking back at the, Khal, her blue eyes focused and determined to keep the peace.
I could have a life similar to those women, serving the men as they did all the work in battle, living a life as a wife and perhaps a mother. But, unlike them, I knew I was meant to do something else, something greater. Even if it meant leaving my homeland to do it.
"An honor, Khal Drogo," Xena stated with a slight nod of respect. "I am, Xena, a former warlord and a warrior from a distant land. I grew lost in the fields though and ended up seeking out a noise I heard, half hoping it to be a village."
