About the story!
This AU takes place in a world where Bluefur never gave up her kits, Thistleclaw became leader, and Rusty was chased out of ThunderClan territory only to be saved by RiverClan. Fire and WaterĀ follows Firepaw as he trains to become a RiverClan warrior and grapples with the rising tensions between Clans.Ā
Included are lots of tweaks to the worldbuilding and lore, a soft naming system, and lots of ripple effects on the world! I plan to write at least through the end of TNP, but weāll see what happens after that.

Iām 22 and Iāve been writing in the warriors fandom since I was 13 (oof!). I love writing and I plan on writing my own original books as well. Iām a non-binary lesbian and I use they/them pronouns. I occasionally post mild warriors discourse here, but mostly this is a blog for the AU.Ā

Are there LGBT+ cats?
Yes, lots of them! Not everyone will be explicitly confirmed in the story (purely because for some characters it might not happen to come up), but many will and youāre always welcome to ask about identities. If cats arenāt confirmed as anything, youāre welcome to have headcanons about them (and I like to hear about them!)
Is [x] romance with Fireheart going to be endgame?
Thatās a surprise! I can be a little giving with spoilers, but aside from hints I wonāt reveal that fully. All Iāve said before is that he has more than one romance in his lifetime!
Can I share fanart/write fan chapters?
YES! I love to see fanart, make sure to tag/DM it to me so I can share it! Iāve also seen a few fan one-shots that have been incredible. Just please ask me if you want to do something longer term with the story, but Iām pretty open to sharing it!
Do you have a posting schedule?
I used to, but my life is pretty scattered and I have a hard time sticking to a schedule. I try not to go more than a month without posting a chapter, but sometimes when I hyperfixate on the story I can knock out three in a week!
Will you post it to ao3 instead of/in addition to FFN?
I have no plans to do this and probably will never unless FFN unexpectedly shuts down.
still no super set timeline for updates (sorry gang), hoping to get back into it once I finally move out of my current place, so tentatively will be poking around here back in November!

Yes they are! I think they ended up with much less screen time in the revised/finished arc 1 than I had originally planned, but if it wasn't clear they are mates :)
It's definitely going to mentioned explicitly in arc 2, though they'll probably likewise not have a *ton* of screentime since it'll mostly be following the road trip gang.

people have been saying this for like the last 5+ years and FFN hasn't kicked it yet. it's pretty much always been people speculating about it without like, any actual word from the site itself about closing up shop. I have no plans to repost anywhere else unless FFN actually does die, in which case I'll probably move over to Ao3 even though I don't really wanna lol
