that is far from true, however. because while yet to be mentioned, frederick has long since accepted his feelings for cordelia. while he knows he’s love in with her, he doesn’t think he’s worthy for such to be returned. how could he be? he was nowhere near the same level as she. he wasn’t pitiful over it, he’d accepted those terms long ago - he was more than content to keep them hidden, alas a need for them to be reveled.
