Captain Ava was on the SM-14, in the process of retrieving Simon and the black box when she should have died as many of you understand her story to end. Captain Ava as you know her died at the bottom of a blood red sea, hopeless in an iron cage of her own making.
Ava Wheeler, however, did not die that day. Neither did Simon. Instead, they managed to warp to a universe that may be familiar to you, albeit not in one piece.
Their own dead universe is far behind them, left behind in their escape, and now they have a new planet, a new colony to assist, and all new problems to sort through. Such as adjusting to one less leg, getting to know the alternate versions of herself and Simon, and this god damn crystal lodged in her head.
Welcome aboard to The Invincible and its proud colony named Hope.
[More Information under the cut]
Hello! This is a roleplay blog of Ava from an AU I'm working on that I like to call "Blood Red Meets Ocean Blue". Not the most creative of names, but it works and I like it.
I'll link the fic here when I do end up posting it
Also Ava uses She/They pronouns and I have more reasons for that other than hitting her with the queer beam, I promise-

A communication device of your choice, whether that be a radio or phone, sparks to life.
It seems you have a call, Markiplier.
On the other end of the call however, nothing answers, but if you listen closely you can hear quiet breathing, lightly snoring from wherever they are. They don't seem to notice you're there just yet.
Ava Wheeler has reached out to you... accidentally.

"Hello? This better be important, I'm trying to get ready for a photoshoot here!"
"Previous experiences prove otherwise. But everything about... this is strange enough. Already seen someone come back to life once in these things..." another paper flips, "so who knows?"
"Well, I hadn't meant to contact you, at least not you specifically," they sigh, and from the slightly muffled sound of their voice put their face in their hand, "I was trying to get this damned radio working the way I want it to. And it found you while I was asleep instead."
A chair creaks, "But I guess you're better than nothing. I want answers. Answers as to what the hell I've been seeing and what any of it means in relation to me. I have theories, but... I figured finding someone directly involved in at least a version of these events could shed some insight on the situation."
That bird chirps once again, "... I'm sure you're a rather busy man. If I remember correctly, you're some sort of actor? But l don't know when I'll get this chance again.
"I can't force you to stay on the line, but I would greatly appreciate if you did."
She hesitates for a moment, "Well, I guess I should introduce myself first. My name is Ava Wheeler, and ever since an... event, I've been living in The Invincible and its colony planet, Hope.
"I... warped here accidentally. Long story short a my eye somehow formed into a warp crystal which has created a lieu of problems for me. Including visions of other universes, ones I theorize are connected to mine in... some way. There are some constants. Shared faces, voices, even a few events."
Pausing, she clears her throat, "I'm getting carried away. First question to establish what else I can ask; has the party happened yet?"
"Yes, I know, I saw. Next question – couple questions actually – what exactly happened? How did you survive? Was it the same way..." pages flip, "'Darkiplier' survived? Still... such a strange name."
"Well, depends on universes, mine however... I survived because of the Entity. The Entity had been haunting my manor for generations, it's first victim was my great grandfather, then my grandmother, then my mother, and then me. I'm not entirely too sure HOW it works, but you don't need to know how something works in order to use it."
He seemed to be putting on some eyeshadow.
"What exactly happened was I was murdered, I appeared in the upside down, and I came back to life in a few hours."
Ava is silent for a minute, before she mutters away from the receiver, "Great. As if the multiverse bullshit wasn't enough, there's actual fucking ghosts now. Collecting the whole paranormal trifecta here."
After another moment, she slowly inhales and start scribbling something, "Alright, we'll get back to... that if there's time. Next question; was the murder planned? By you or... the Colonel, I believe he was called at the time?"
Another quiet beat. "So you are just as annoying as I thought you'd be... You're no Mack, but you're getting there... Alright, next question; do you know the whereabouts of the... District Attorney that was at your party? A few of the other party members seem to return, or at least share recurring faces with others, so I was... curious."
"Don't call me that," Ava spits with no lack of venom, "Paradox... with the wormhole? I've heard about that a few times now... did it happen in multiple universes or was the wormhole a catalyst that split into several different timelines and universes...?" They're muttering to themself as they scribble more, "Maybe I could ask the Captain about that when I get the chance... Okay, then, and any ideas on the whereabouts of your Darkiplier and... Warfstache? Again with the strange names..."
"... I kind of hate that I can't tell if you're joking or not- Because I thought if I knew where your versions of them are, I could have a better idea on how to contact my... universe's own versions... but considering I somehow called you in my sleep, I am clearly not entirely sure how this thing works. Ironic considering it came from my own submersible."
"- but you don't need to know how something works in order to use it."
"He already fucking said- ugh, whatever." Ava grumbles, "Let's circle back to... this Entity you mentioned. You said you don't know how it works, but do you know what it is or what exactly it does?"
"First of all, I'm not lying about them. Second of all, the Entity feeds off of negative emotions, and it feeds them back to you through reflections, dreams, or voices. I've never known what it wanted."
"Well it's like a leech. It won't let go of you, even if... You die." He sighed. "My manor is its main hunting grounds, though I've heard that blue crystal is... Interesting. What are your symptoms?"
"I've got a list written down, hang on," A weary sigh, more shuffling of papers, and the twitter of a baby bird, "Let's see... Migraine inducing visions of varying intensities from past and present universes and/or timelines, possibly future ones too, but no concrete evidence of that just yet. These visions vary from brief voices to full scenes, down to the sensations. Heightened emotions can trigger more visions, or just a 'flare up'. In otherwords, being a pain in the ass for no good reason
"There are also blue sparks, from and around my person, that either do nothing or... seemingly cause phenomena such as this transmission, and more recently, voices of... people from a completely different universe entirely. Another Ava called them Watchers, while The Captain calls them Viewers. I've taken to calling them the Audience... just what feels right for me."
They list all of this like one would talk about a machine going haywire or some faulty wiring. As though their own body is an appliance that needs to be fixed or replaced. "All this just so this damn thing doesn't actually blow a hole into my skull... or cause another wormhole. I think it's like a... self-preservation sort of thing. It has all of this energy that I as the host can't handle all at once, not while it's connected so close to my brain. So it lets the energy out in... small doses, I guess."
She taps her pencil against the desk, "However, if this Entity has anything to do with it, that might add a slue of new concerns... as if I didn't have enough of those."
A communication device of your choice, whether that be a radio or phone, sparks to life.

"I... warped here accidentally.

"... I don't want to think about that too hard, I'll be completely honest. Thank you for the decor at least."
She displays it on top of a bookshelf in her room facing the wall.
