Life is so hard when your attention is on you and not God and others. It’s hard because you were never made for you. It’s the biggest lie of humanity; living for you, your feelings, your own dreams apart from God’s glory - your own little will and fantasy - life is tough there. You’ll live at the expense of people just to make that thing come true. And love lays down its life for others, which is the exact opposite.
