ooc: Rebooting Notice

Do not worry folks this reboot is merely for Janet & Cassie’s backstories so all relationships and threads will stay the same as they have always been. It just happens that I realized they needed an updating to make it more MCU compliant somehow.

For Jan:

Pretty much the same origin (father dies and she goes to Hank to help her give her powers to avenge him)

Exception is that it wasn’t a monster from another universe that killed Vernon but someone (another organization perhaps. She never actually found out who it was) trying to get his research on portals to other universes and also control of his company Van Dyne Industries (a thing I’m taking from the Marvel Adventures comics).

So essentially after Vernon dies, Janet is the heir of Van Dyne Industries and is kind of like the Bruce Wayne of the company (not that much input, someone else is the CEO but probably chosen by her, but is invited to events and all of that)

The headquarters of Van Dyne Industries (as opposed of a tower) are in NYC. Consider the company to be dedicated to stuff like what Pym Technologies does in the Ant-man movie (and also looking like it). Also this is were Hank met Jan as he was the top chief scientist there.

Jan however is still a professional fashion designer and obviously very famous for both her clothing and being The Wasp (her identity is not secret)

Things that tie with the Ant-man movie:

Jan and Hank both trained Scott into becoming Ant-man

Cassie had about 13 or 14 years at the time. She has a heart condition like in the comics and Scott saves the Doctor who was going to perform Cassie’s surgery.

Darren Cross is the CEO of an enemy company Cross Tech and wants control over Van Dyne Industries. He manages to steal a suit which Hank was still developing (The Yellowjacket)

Scott, Jan and Hank battle Cross but trying to defeat him Scott gets into the microverse and gets stuck.

Now for Cassie:

A year or two later Cassie discovered she had powers to grow in size and shrink because of constant exposure to the Pym Particles (which she stole from her father shhh). She contacted Janet Van Dyne and she trained Cassie (so the reason why Cassie knows some people like Tony Stark is because of Janet introducing her to the world of superheroes).

Then everything else from Young Avengers goes.

Cassie’s identity as Stature is not public. The only ones who know it are a few superheroes and the Young Avengers.

So every single interaction they’ve both had in this group is still going to continue it’s just that I wanted to detail better their backstory.
