When You’re Depressed
Lumi Mizutani — Pine Trees and Waves II (india ink, japanese pigments gold leaves on japanese paper mounted on wood, 2015)
On this day 31 May 1919, revolutionary socialist Rosa Luxemburg’s body was found and identified after an autopsy at the Charité hospital in Berlin. It was five months after she was murdered and thrown into Berlin’s Landwehr Canal by the right-wing paramilitary Freikorps who were acting on behalf of the Social Democratic government, suppressing the German revolution. This book recounts the events of her death: https://shop.workingclasshistory.com/products/the-murder-of-rosa-luxemburg-klaus-gietinger-hardback https://www.facebook.com/workingclasshistory/photos/a.296224173896073/1439072106277935/?type=3
In honor of all the courageous people who have risked their freedom to make Minneapolis ungovernable in response to the racist murder of George Floyd and the longstanding legacy of white supremacy, we have prepared this poster, “A New World from the Ashes of the Old.” https://cwc.im/NewWorld Please print and post them in your community. Let the events in Minneapolis be present everywhere—and let us move forward with a vision of a world without oppression or tyranny.
