âŠDespite how unbelievably pissed Hadyn is for this whole ordeal, he canât help but feel for Keahi. Why? Heâs not sure⊠Perhaps itâs the pitiful, wavering aura around her form that acts like a flickering candle. Or perhaps itâs the sympathy of one immortal to another, knowing how vicious a cycle can be.
Hadyn keeps his hands balled into fists, watching Keahi walk along the surface of magma. Leylines are well defined with the volcanoes core; itâs tempting to just jump right in and take a long nap for a century or two. But heâs got business to settle. Heâs got Tsukasa to look out for, a whole pile of friends to keep safe from another tragedy. When had he gotten so protective and soft? Solitude really has fucked him over, in a manner he canât describe as good or bad.
â âŠFuck⊠â He grumbled under his breath, looking down upon the edge of the volcano. Those homes, the islands, the people heâs grown so attached to⊠Maybe he can make this better. Better than before. If he⊠if he had more control. Control over something so powerful, like this volcano. Itâs not as big as the other, but it was enough energy to provide him to more strength.
â âŠKing ainât a bad title⊠but thereâs somethinâ else I wannaâ add to our deal. â Hadyn turns his attention back to Keahi, his posture relaxing tenderly. â I want power. Power like you farm animals. ânough taâ keep myself goinâ through the Winters âere. ânough taâ keep Tsukasa safe anâ well⊠because as soon as you give âim back his memories, heâs cominâ âere with me. A King has taâ have âis Queen, right?
â But I ainât no cheapskate either⊠Iâll keep yer stupid island runninâ. Iâll keep it warm or whatever⊠Anâ Iâll heal you. I dunno how much oâ the same we are, but yer leylines anâ aura are so fucked. I can see it. I can feel it⊠I âave ways taâ heal other people, even Gods, I guess. I can do it, but⊠you canât take Tsukasa away from me. Never again. Heâs⊠Heâs all that I got. I need âim to live, capeche? âŠAnâ if you can do that shit, then you got yersellf a deal. â
Hadyn promptly holds his hand out for the Fire Goddessâ, charcoal hues turning from anger, to straight out serious. If he can have more power, more control⊠then he can do something right for once.
âI figured you would have liked getting called that.â As much as she did enjoy being a bitch, she did pay attention to some little details when she was.. being friendly with those inferior to her kind. It is because of this mentality that she strongly detested the feeling of knowing that she was.. possibly.. being pitied.Â
âAs.. Tempting as it is to have you helping me out.. we do take care of our own.â Her healing abilities arenât the best as they used to be, nor were they in anything when compared to Kanoâs... but even so.. She knew that there would be a massive fit if she accepted it. So for that matter, she would have to decline. At least for the time being.
âAlright.â Keahi responded after a moment of thinking over his request. âIâm not strong enough to really grant a whole lot of power access.. What I can do should be enough to get you by and feel better during the cold weather. From the way we designed this island.. this should be more tolerable and to our liking than the other four.â It was why she liked it herself.. She could feel her strength recovering a whole lot better when she was on Makana.
Nodding, she extended her hand and gave as firm of a handshake as she could. âI promise to never take Tsukasa away from you.â Keahi, as much as anyone else, understood the pain that came with being separated from those they hold dear.Â
âLater on next week.. you should be able to move in to Makana with your beloved.â Keahi said with a nod as she took her hand back to her side, sneaking a few glances over at the fellow goat that made his appearance. âEnjoy what you can.. I have an important matters to attend now.â Mostly to reassure the daddy goat that she was okay.
