Some infos about kelpies' awesome smile. Ocs are Vasco (freshwater) and Esmée (saltwater).

Don't forget that saltwaters are bigger than freshwaters... you don't want to approach Esmée, believe me-

Some skulls I drew some month ago. Kelpie skulls, because they're so fun to draw ! I love how realistic I draw them, while my characters are mostly on the cartoony side- I really like that kind of contrast. Might not be very accurate to real skulls, but who cares, they're giant carnivore horses

The big kelpie dude Lewis !! Yes, all the kelpies do have an alternative form to go in deep waters. This is my version of the original creature's shapeshifting powers !

Little comparison post between a zebra kelpie and a regular zebra - Based on comments I receive, I think many people don't realize how different the zebra kelpies are from real life zebras, so I decided to make this featuring our big guy Lewis to bring up some explanations ! Zebra kelpies are their own species ; they share the genus Equus with horses and so on, but they didn't evolve from zebras. They adapted to become predators, and the stripes help them to blend in their natural environments (red kelp forests) to sneak on a prey or hide themselves. The zebra kelpies are sharing a lot of similarities with felines, and more precisely tigers ! The name of the species is obviously coming from their stripes and because they're equines as well. Lewis depicted here is an average freshwater zebra kelpie, but saltwaters are even bigger. So zebras and zebra kelpies are more like cousin species and should not be mistaken with eachother… know the difference, it could save your life !

But she will eventually be less mistrustful in the future. At the time she met Lewis, she was still a young mare, and her past was still an open wound.

The kelpies' smile ! As you can see I referenced a bit on tigers'. The photos were found on google ! Don't judge too hard please I made this mostly for fun and for the webcomic coherence, it's probably not very anatomically accurate for the skull, but we're talking about 3m tall carnivore zebras.---

First post here ! Intoducing you to the main species of my story : the kelpie.

They're very large equine-like creatures, with a little bit of feline. Very sharp teeth, lives in the water most of the time, which is why they're called Water Demons.

This one is named Kiersten, she is a mare with some temper. You'll get to know her soon, if I don't suddenly become inactive *haha*
