hi y’all! wanted to introduce myself. i’m sasha, 23 yrs, and i’ve been playing animal crossing for about sixteen years. dang i’m old! i also consider myself a tumblr vet even though it’s been a long time since i’ve been active.

i named my island after cimarron, new mexico, where i spend about three months out of the year. i moved down to new mexico last year for grad school and it’s incredible how much natural beauty there is here! i admire the creativity of a lot of creators in the acnh community but i also think there’s something to be said for the simplicity and charm of the base game :) i’m a big fan of old school country music and aesthetics as well so i thought i’d turn my island into a cute little southwest town.

rules for interacting even though i don’t think y’all will read this:

- minors, you can reblog and follow but please don’t send asks or private messages. my summer job requires that i do not contact youth without another adult involved. also i think it’s good to have boundaries with older folks!

- please don’t share my personal patterns or photos without linking to my blog or creator id! i do this for fun and not money but don’t be a weirdo.

-please don’t message me about trades and whatnot. i am sadly somewhat of a purist and want to play the game slowly and delay gratification. would it be cool to speed build an island? yes but i got a thesis to write babes.

-my island is country themed but this is a homophobia, racism, sexism, transphobic, anti-Indigenous, anti nazi, antifa zone. blogs that fall under these will be blocked and reported. this is a beautiful aesthetic but it’s important to note the harm that manifest destiny and westward expansion has caused on the land and to the native land caretakers.

-this is an animal crossing blog. i play animal crossing because i had a tough childhood. it’s escapism for me. if you think a layout or design i did is crap keep it to yourself. this is a rated g zone as well.
