Hi, I'm trying to find a really, REALLY good book to read during the holiday break. I love your blog, and I was just wondering if you have any recommendations? I am a girl in 10th grade! Oh and please note that I do not like any books with vampires.

Have you started The Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer? The first book is called CINDER.  It’s a retelling of Cinderella set in the future.

If you’re a fan of Veronica Roth’s books, check out The Razorland Trilogy by Ann Aguirre. The first book is called ENCLAVE.

If contemporary is more your speed, try THIS SONG WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE by Leila Sales. It’s about an a high school girl who discovers a love of DJing.

Hey Carley, I am vegan and I will be when I'm in college. I know you were vegetarian (when you were in college too, I think), and I was wondering what exactly you ate. I am kind of nervous about going to college because of my vegan diet, since colleges do not usually have vegan/vegetarian meals. So, what did you do? Thanks again!

Georgetown actually had tons of vegetarian options and a vegan section as well so it wasn’t hard at all. If you have access to a kitchen, you might opt for cooking meals instead of a meal plan.

Hi Carly! I LOVE your blog. It is absolutely amazing. I have a few questions: Where can I find nice and preppy sweat pants? Also, I play tennis and I was wondering if you know any companies that have cute tennis outfits! And, was it hard to make the Georgetown rowing team? What about the other sports teams at Georgetown? Thank you!

1) I’m not sure if you’re going to find preppy sweat pants… but J. Crew makes these drawstring cotton pants (you can even monogram them) and these utility pants.

2) vineyard vines has tennis skirts!

3) The rowing team almost never cuts people… there’s basically a place for anyone. Plus you can walk on with absolutely no experience.
