THIS is why established pairs annoy me

I'm loving Payback the Series. It's such a fun series!

The characters are great, and I'm impressed with the chemistry from everyone, not just the leads. Obviously Min and Toptap are fire. They are killing in the chemistry department. But Khunnote Jirapat is also doing a fantastic job as the manager, and Shogun is really lovely as Sky.

And that brings me to my #1 negative about the show.

Sky should absolutely be falling for Pakin from a story perspective! The young man whose terrified of cameras and the photographer who notices and guesses correctly why he panics? Of course they are meant to be! Pakin should be the one who helps Sky overcome his fear. There should be scenes of Pakin showing him how a camera works, letting Sky take pictures, maybe with Pakin as the model. In the evening. In the studio at his house. Yeah...they should absolutely be the second couple in Payback!!

Damn it.

And we won't get it because God forbid Boss is paired with anyone other than Nouel. Much of their fandom would have a complete meltdown. Ugh. It just drives me nuts.

Let these guys be actors with independent careers. Boss and Nouel have fantastic chemistry, for sure. But I really wish they could take on other projects as leads without risking their careers.

The tear kissing shot was great, but tbh I think I like this one more:

There's so much intensity here on multiple levels. Jay is gazing at Sun with such fierce focus, hand wrapped around Sun's neck in possessive dominance. He needs to see the effect this is having on Sun. To see his tears. And Sun is completely lost in sub space. This is exactly what he's wanted and denied himself for so long. To submit completely to someone he has a powerful connection with. To finally let go, put himself in that person's hands. And, however unhealthy irl this is, he needed Jay to break down not just his walls, but his will, so he could let himself have this. Now he's finally getting what he wants. His sadistic Dom is on top of him, inside him, eliciting tears from the immense vulnerability submission has drawn out of him. He's never let himself go like this before, and it's everything he never truly knew he wanted.

Yea we talk about the kisses Jay places on Sun's arm after they finish but we don't talk about the sniff kiss he gives him right before that...

I don't know if it's just me but watching Sun be so sexually liberated in that scene with Jay made me emo. This man has fully come to terms with how his life had no purpose anymore he didn't have anything or anyone to live for. Other than his revenge which when you get that what do you still have?

So watching him come full circle coming to terms with how although what he went through felt like a world ending stance for the longest time. It was because he chose to keep living he was able to still meet some really beautiful people who genuinely care for him and empathetically feel for him (sky kajorn jo).

"If it's someone who can feel love even for just a little then you have the right to have the reason to live" as he runs right into Jay's arms like that was everything! These two people lost very important people in their life and yet they're still here. They have found each other and then and now.

Watching him also come to the realization that it was Jay then the same person he cried into the arms of the same person who didn't even ask him why he was crying he just held him. The same person who is now helping him while he has gone through his own tragedy and is still trying to rectify everything himself for his own purpose in life.

The fact that these very two people who have face such horrible tragedies at the expense of other people's actions. Were able to not only confide in each other but feel liberated with each other. It all just felt so right and they both really were naked in the sense of not just their bodies! but everything was on display the feelings the pent-up emotions that sun has been concealing because he felt like he didn't deserve to feel anything. It was all just so beautiful and the tear that came out of him!

And it makes sun not remembering the first time they had sex even more devastating when we already know how that was more of a self-deprecation for him at that time. And so it only makes sense that it's not a memory that he wants to remember if anything that he would push to the back of his mind. While for Jay at that time he couldn't get that person out of his mind that person who he had let cry into his arms that night. And after he figured out this is the same person who even now years later. Is completely stoic and has what seems a Stony heart. He just needed a push he needed someone to call him out on his unavailability to feel anything and to make him really question his life and how he wants to live it truly going forward. And watching Jay helped sun get to that was also very euphoric! Such a beautiful scene toptap and minlee deserve all the flowers!!!!!!

I love Sun's little nod here so much it made me laugh like "yeah you didn't get the part" and he's just like "totally fair I literally cannot act and have no real ambitions in this line of work"
