I Need a Huge Favor
Hello, friends, Iâm back for a little while to boost something very important. My mom is very sick right now. No official diagnosis has been given yet, but the possibility of late stage ovarian or uterine cancer as well as possible multiple myeloma has been up in the air.
I love my mom so much and I want to make sure sheâs around to see me graduate college. Sheâs got the most stubborn spirit and is determined to fight this disease with every bit of gusto that sheâs got, but we need a little help to get her the treatment she needs.
Hereâs the GoFundMe I made for her: https://www.gofundme.com/27x992jg
Every kind of support is welcomed. We canât do this on our own and we want to do everything we can to make sure my mom has a long, productive life ahead of her. Thank you in advance for anything and everything. This means the world to me and then some.
A drawing for my bestie of her original character, named Shaleigh. And yes, I know, I still suck at drawing hair. I'M WORKIN ON IT. View this and the rest of...
I made a motherfuck speedpaint. Itâs meh.

Lodger nodded as he slowly walked over to the trap door with his candle. Â He slowly waved it over the opening, trying his best to investigate without going down just yet.
ââŚeither itâs very dark, or the ladder seems to end abruptly. It would not be a safe way to go to the floor below,â he replied.
It wouldnât be safe, but was there even another way? Waverly stood up at full height, staring down into the hole with trepidation. She didnât want them to have to go down there, but she saw no other exit on this floor.
âWhat if itâs the only w-w-way?â she asked, a quiver of fear in her voice. Whatever was on the floor above, she didnât want it to find them down here; or worse, there could be more.
[If anyone wants to keep in touch, my personal blog is @kelnugget and Iâm there more often than Iâm here anymore. Iâll still log in now and again to see if I have any messages or replies, but activity is pretty much nonexistent most of the time and Iâve lost interest in searching for new RP partners. This might change in the future, but right now this blog is sorta dead.
Let me know if you want my skype, Iâm happy to give it to people I know pretty well. And if you donât wanna keep in touch, thatâs cool too. Iâm not gone for good, just not âhereâ.]
[*flops* I still have muse for this blog...but thereâs nothing left to do with it.]
[Tempted to re-vamp Wyvernâs blog, but add Waheed to it since they share a base anyways. I dunno. Iâm not sure. Being in a fandom is weird.]

He only stared for a little while longer before looking towards Waverly. He didnât know what to believe in right now. But he did know one thing: they needed to get out of here.
He shook his head, placing a hand over hers. ââŚ.Iâm fine. But we need to find a way out. Thereâs nothing that seems obvious at the momentâŚâ
Waverly didnât entirely believe him--if he was so fine, then why was there still distress in his eyes? She flipped her hand over to grab his, squeezing it momentarily before letting go. âWeâll f-find a way.â she assured him, taking her leave to check the other side of the room.
âUm...Lodger? C-come shine your light over here.â She spoke from a darkened corner, facing away from the fireplace and shrouded by the shadows. There was a trap door here, leading to the floors below.

âStuck, hm? HehehehehehâŚ.. thatâs an odd situationâŚ.â He paced around the girl, looking at her every few moments.
âYou donât desire the company of others then?â Wallace inquired, a thin smile etching itself on his features as he spoke.
â˝ Company? "I h-have plenty of company.â Waverly said, keeping her eyes down. Each time Wallace paced in front of her, she made a note to avoid eye contact with him. Something about those eyes just made her uncomfortable.
âIâm n-n-not alone here. There are spirits, both living and dead, that share this forest with m-m-me...some things that have been here much longer than I h-h-have.â For once, she looked up, her heart sinking when she made eye contact at long last. âWhich b-b-begs the question...why would you even be here?â âž

He was a bit startled when Waverly suddenly rushed into the living room with the fire place and quickly followed after. Once again, he had not seen the figure. After looking this way and that, he took a few steps closer to Waverly.
âWe shouldnât rush into things. Thereâs no telling what-â He cut off his sentence when he started hearing faint whispers. He wasnât sure if he could recognize the voice or not, but his eyes were slowly drawn to the fireplace. Upon closer inspection, he could see a page of his diary peeking out, and burning with the rest of his pages.
âNoâŚthat canât be my diaryâŚâ he spoke softly, more to himself than anything else. He shut his eyes, as if trying to tell himself that if he didnât see it, it didnât exist.
Waverly heard Lodgerâs voice, but it hardly registered with her. Wallace was here, right here where she was standing, and then he was gone. She saw his face so clearly for the first time in years--a century, even! She never thought she could remember it so well...
And yet, the softness of Lodgerâs voice finally managed to break her free of her trance. She looked at him, at his eyes, and then to the fire where his gaze seemed locked. âLodger?â she tugged on his sleeve. She didnât see anything in the fire, but what had him so transfixed?

ââŚI donât know either,â he admitted, looking about. For once, he was a bit unsure of where they should be going from here. He felt like the door outside should be on this floor, but he couldnât see it.
All was silent on this floor, it seemed, save for the quiet crackling of fire. Waverly shuffled around, searching here and there for anything that might lead them towards an exit, but it seemed that this place had other plans.
There was a presence nearby--something familiar but uneasy all at the same time. Waverly was afraid to look, but she couldnât help herself. She turned just long enough to see that same familiar figure from upstairs, now standing in the living room. Only now, it was no longer a silhouette. It was her brother, Wallace, with his arms outstretched.
Without even thinking, Waverly rushed into the room after him, wanting nothing more than to grab hold of him. She wasnât so lucky. He disappeared as soon as she got close, fading to smoke, filling her mind with the sound of screeching and crackling flames.

He nodded in understanding. â..we wonât be in here long. I promise.â He glanced down at the ladder, his candle in hand before he slowly began to descend.
The ladder itself seemed stable enough, but he couldnât help but wonder about this house. Too many things seemed familiar for it to be just a coincidence. Did this house have something to do with them? Did it want something from them? Either way, he managed  to reach the bottom. He ended up landing at the mouth of a dark hall, where it led towards two large rooms. The room on the left seemed to be some kind of open kitchen, while the other seemed like living room, complete with a lit fireplace.
Waverly hesitated only for a moment before following Lodger down the ladder. She lingered there, looking at the wash of light against the floor, distracted by the twitching silhouette. She closed her eyes for a second...and it was gone.
Clumsily but safely, Waverly found herself on solid ground once more, following after her friend. This place was horribly familiar, as any home was. It was hard not to find pieces that reminded her of her own home, Lodgerâs home, or her familyâs house when she was a child. It certainly looked more comfortable than the rooms on the higher floor, but that comfort was laced with unease.
âHow b-big is this place?â she asked, taking tentative steps down the hall without ever straying too far from her companion. âI d-donât know if I hope weâre alone here or not...â
â âOur Greatest Fears || w/theworldologist
The Lodger managed to keep up with Waverly throughout the chase. He decided that it would be best to close the door behind them as best as he could before moving in to follow Waverly.
He heard her call out to the shadowy figure, but he never saw it. He simply shook his head and began to look around the room until he discovered a door in the floor that led to a ladder downstairs.
ââŚ.I believe this will help us on our way out,â he told her, looking back up at Waverly. After a few moments of silence, he also added, ââŚ.are you alright?â
As Lodger began a search, looking for a way out--or at least, out of this floor--Waverly stood in confusion. He made no motion towards the figure; is it possible that he didnât see it? How could he not see it? Waverly put her hands to her temples, a ringing growing in her ears.
When she looked again, the figure was back. It stood under the light, twitching. And though she couldnât see its face, she could only imagine that it was staring right at her. But it wasnât really there, she told herself. She was just stressed...
Finally, she felt the freedom to move. She followed Lodger to the door, staring down into the mystery beneath them, chewing on her bottom lip. âIâm fine.â she answered without emotion. âJ-just scared.â
â âRequiem || Open RP
Wallace let out a laugh at her words.
âDeath is a wonderful thing, I will admit. A temporary release from the pain of existence.â he mused, a thin smile parting his lips.
He tapped a finger to his chin and looked at Waverly, the gears of thought turning in his head.
âAre you immortal as well?â he inquired from her comment of time spent in this world.
â˝ Waverly wasnât sure if she would call death âwonderfulâ. In her experience, it was mostly terrifying, cloaked in the nagging fear of being lost forever. In her life, she had hardly a thing to live for. But in death? She had her reasons for wanting to stick around.
âI d-d-donât know if âimmortalâ is the right word for it.â she said, her fingers rubbing together at her sides, toes wiggling against the cold dirt. âIâm just stuck. Thatâs all. I c-canât leave the forest...not that I desire to.â The world was a scary place, far too noisy and busy for someone like her. Peace, quiet, and hearth--that was all she needed. âž
â âOur Greatest Fears || w/theworldologist
It wasnât long before he was following after Waverly towards the end of the hall. He knew the thing mustâve looked very frightening to her. As for himself, while he was relatively unnerved by its presence, he mostly just did not care much for it. He wished it would go away and leave them along, but that was about as much thought as he put into it.
Stopping at the end of the hall, Waverly glanced behind to see the strange, stalking creature slowly following after them in no real hurry. Did it care that they were here? Was it minding its own business, watching them curiously? She had no real answer and wasnât keen on sticking around to find out.
The door wasnât locked, but the wooden frame was in no great shape. She gave it a hard shove, finally managing to force it open, revealing the path ahead of them.
The air around them was growing colder by the minute. In the center of the room, a flickering light illuminated a figure--a dark silhouette in a dirty yellow spotlight. âHello?â Waverly took a step forward, but each step she took, the figure backed away. Even as she raced forward to catch up, it simply disappeared into the darkness, leaving her and Lodger on their own once again
