Hymns of Corruption 1.. In this our country most of the leaders are mentioned and/or associated with a corruption scandal at one time or another. Corruption is one of the biggest hinderance to development and good governance. Now every year we have an annual National Prayer Day where these same leaders sing Hymns and 'pray' for us. Abu.. A/c 2017.. Abu is a boy I met at Matondoni in Lamu. He looked worried & detached and after talking to him he managed to cheer up. His image kinda represents the struggle/worry that the kawaida Lamu male goes through. There's not much jobs around and the best ones are taken by other guys from other parts of Pwani who are better trained and well equipped.. The remaining ones are tough and overcrowded. There's graffiti in Shela that I saw the first day I got there and it kinda sums it all up.- "Hatutaki mchele, Tunataka kazi"....
