Ok, screaming. That’s bad, really bad. The guy was awake so that was good to know, but the screaming was not. She quickly rushed to the TV’s side, her wax hair shifting from orange to purple as fear took over her mind.

“It’s ok, it’s ok! I’m here, oh gosh you poor thing!”

Ugh, if only she had healing magic! It would be so much easier to help him. What can she do? This situation was just awful all around. Well, the only thing Solana could think of was gently placing a hand on the others back.

“Just, try and breathe? I-I got you.”

Her fellow Darkner in such a state, it was just awful. What or who was cruel enough to do something like this? How in the name of everything was she going to fix this?

When Solana enters the room, Tenna whirls in her direction. “What the heck is going ON? Where are my arms--what happened? What happened- ahw, you gotta do something!” he begs, straining toward her until he’s leaning heavily on the lamp woman’s shoulder.

He shudders and whines. She tells him to breathe, but he’s lost control entirely. Breathing is impossible. His entire eternal wiring fires off in spasms, and he makes nothing but incoherent noises. He doesn't want to die in this much pain. Tenna doesn’t know who this person is, but surely, she can save him.

And strangely enough, she can….her hand on his back is like magic.

With one touch from Solana, the agony melts away like ice thawing under the sun. ​The searing pain and trembling are gone. Slowly, the panic ceases too…

For a moment, he leans on her in silence, trying to make sense of it all. Why is he here? He was just outside the studio when that thing attacked. He recalls celebrating with Kris and his gaggle of buddies. It was a time to rejoice! The deal with the knight wasn’t needed anymore; there was no reason for him to worry about being thrown away or unplugged again. The gang could have Tori back, everything would be hunkey-doody!

And then it was lights out.

How far did he crawl?

​“Um…wow.” Just like that, he feels brand new. Out of the box. Like there was never anything to scream about in the first place. Of course, his arms are still gone, but he’s ok. Thank the Angel. “That sure was something.” The CRT’s voice is small and lacks the animated color it usually has, but the wonder in it is audible. “I feel alright now. Funny,” he stifles a hollow laugh.

Alright, he’s calmed down, that’s a good start to figuring out this whole situation. She’s still gonna hold onto him, though. It seems like he can really use the kindness right now. It takes a moment for Solana’s hair to turn back to its natural color. She wants to say something…but, what can you say in this situation?

“Uh…glad you’re feeling better? Sorry, I just- there hasn’t been anyone around here for a long time.”

Let alone someone so badly damaged, but, she didn’t say that thought out loud. No use in rubbing salt in the wound.

“Do you remember how you got here? Did you come here with anyone?“ The lamp pauses for a second, seemingly realizing something.

“Look at me, asking all these questions when I don’t even know your name. I’m Solana, and you are?”

“What do you mean he has to kill somebody if he wins the poll???”

Thank goodness she isn’t part of any vote, not like she’d win. But, better safe than sorry, right?
