✧ Started playing on Mischief 23 and the Season of Revival. Joined some time before that, but made it only to the gate of Eden that time.
✧ Sky ocs info below. So far their design changes with every new season.
✧ Skykid: Wax. Born on Days of Mischief and Season of Revival. Follower of Hopeful Steward Valley of Triumph. His star fell into the Isle of Dawn. Lives in Aviary nest room, doesn't spend much time indoors tho. Favorite activities are photography, swimming and exploring oob.
✧ Skykid: Wick. Wax's older brother figure. Cynical loser. His star fell into the Starlight Desert. He hangs around there most of the time.
✧ Skykid: Dragon. Dragon comes from Golden Wasteland. Spends most time skiing in Valley of Triumph.
Continuing with the idea of horns that fall off in a certain season, here is my impulse to make a small drawing.
Originally, Serene was inspired by spring and Orion by fall, so Serene's horns bloom for a short period of time in spring and then fall off in late summer/early fall.
Orion's horns, on the other hand, have leaves in late summer that dry out and fall off throughout fall, and then the horns fall off in late winter.
I have a headcanon that Serene's horns are something like crystallized light, and the flowers in her hair and horns are a way to release excess light (although that's something related to Serene's lore), so I feel like it makes sense that they follow the same natural process as plants.
something i want to discuss right now is the amount of unproperly tagged amount of negativity i've seen in the sky tag in the past few months
(putting under the cut in case people don't want to see)
this game DOES have flaws. i would be lying if i said this game was perfect. inflation is bad, there's not much to do, iaps are expensive, the recent event schedule was AWFUL (though that finally seems to be calming down), and a whole other host of issues
it is perfectly okay to complain about the game's problems
but if you're going to complain, you also need to be AWARE of how people are going to handle massive amounts of shit-talking. i've got some friends who LOVE this game, and i can see the effects of all the hate. one of them is having really bad mental spirals and is afraid of hurting themselves somehow. another is scared that all of their other friends who hate the game will leave them because all they do is complain about how much they hate the game
i also love this game! it's brought me a lot of happiness and good memories and some of the best friends i've ever made. seeing all of the hate sometimes makes me a little upset and sometimes concerned about myself
again, this isn't to say that sky is perfect or you can never complain
this is just a reminder to at LEAST tag your complaints properly or put them under a read-more or do SOMETHING so that people who don't want to see the hate can ignore it
