My stepfather passed away last week. He died from cancer. I don't know why but now I feel like I can understand The Black Parade album. He has suffered a lot through these last months and we all were a bit selfish for wanting him to stay with us. Nothing we have said stopped him going home. On the other side where he can finally rest and sleep peacefully. He was like a father to me since I was 8 and I am grateful for everything he did. Even if I am sad he left this world I now know his pain is no longer killing him. Because he was fighting for us, and not for himself. Thank you daddy. We'll carry on. For you.
