“Not at all.” He stated in a blunt tone. “I’ve lived here most my life so I’m use to silence most of all. Though on the bad side it made me an extremely light sleeper. Speaking on that, you talk in your sleep.” Best not to keep that to himself. Though the things he said were odd to him… Maybe he should try to evaluate him when he talks in his sleep next time?

“A duty huh..?” He raised a brow to him. “Are you a workaholic?”

“I ... suppose you can say that.” There was some truth to it, though it was complicated. “A better way to say it is probably ... a personal duty. They have something important, and I intend to retrieve it, even if it means coming face to face with him again.“ He wanted to steal that Waymarker, keep it from Bisley’s hands - if he could be assured that Spirius wouldn’t be able to assemble all five, then Ludger would be safe.

“Ludger, I’m home!” Julius missed being home - he had been gone for three days on a Spirius mission, and he finally managed to wrap up the paperwork to accompany it before going home. Actually, he was a bit earlier than he initially told Ludger - the mission was slated to last a week, but he rushed it. Julius didn’t really like being away from home a lot, but that’s what his job often entailed. He heard meowing at his feet, and Julius bent down to gently ruffle the eager cat at his feet. “Hey there, Lulu - did you miss me too?”

“It’s getting pretty chilly. Trigleph used to never get this cold. Heard there might even be snow this year.” Snow was a bit of a rarity in Elympios because of the normally warm weather. Julius has only seen it a handful of times, not much as a kid, but a little more as he got older. “Guess I should start getting some warmer clothes, huh. This jacket really does nothing - it’s more fashion, rather than for keeping warm...”

Julius was a meticulous man. All his jobs for Spirius were carefully documented, every file inspected for all the proper information, and every agent accounted for. Of course, some agents would go AWOL or MIA - it was the nature of investigating other dimensions, after all. Sometimes things happens, and it would be up to Julius to send the family condolences and enough funds to cover any cost.

Of course, it’s the least he could do, if he was the reason why they were missing.

Julius hefted the body of a Spirius agent - he had gotten too close to unveiling Ludger’s true identity, and frankly, Julius wanted to keep his brother secret for much longer. He was careful not to get blood on his jacket - he hasn’t gotten the hang of cleaning blood off of white clothes, and he didn’t want to trouble his brother, much.

He heard a shuffling behind him - and a brief panic set into the man. Was he not careful enough? Did someone see what he did?

He wasn’t really expecting anyone, but he knew his brother had a few friends that liked to come over and hang out while he experimented with recipes. Perhaps the person decided to come a little early - Ludger did leave half an hour ago to pick up some groceries. (Julius did offer to come with, but Ludger told him to relax, since he had just came back from a business trip.)

Julius opened the door, seeing a vaguely familiar face. Definitely someone Ludger would be more familiar with, rather himself. “Ah, hello - were you looking for my brother?”

While in the upper streets of Trigleph, he would gain a few glances, some from his attire, and some in recognition of his position, down in the slums this look netted him a few hard stares. He wasn’t one of them.

But over a decade ago, he was. And he knew the struggle.

He stopped in his tracks, and bent down to the kid’s level. “Hey, you look like you could use a little something to eat.“ Julius held out an untouched sandwich and apple. “My brother made a bit too much for me, so you can have it.“
