so i mostly can't stand christmas.

big surprise, shocking headline, pinko socialist scorns capitalist buying orgy.

but i mean when i was a kid, it still all seemed like such a scam.

just hear me out - or don't.

christmas was always super manipulative to kids, used as a carrot and a whip, be good or you won't get stuff, behave, line up, conform, blah blah blah.  but the real kicker was, kids got stuff for christmas. the system seemed to actually work, the promises of magical rewards seemed real.

so you're getting shown this christmas system that seemed to work while you're being indoctrinated into an even bigger behavior modifying program about this whole christian god and heaven help us stuff which also says behave, line up, zip it, conform, blah blah blah, and you will get awesome super magic stuff in the future.

it just always seemed like a scam. they even made the name, christianity, sound similar to "christmas" for impressionable innocent youth hooked on getting presents to begin to subconsciously associate them together, pavlovian response style.

(no i didn't type that with a straight face. yes i am queer. oh i see what you mean, okay my face was both queer and laughing, happy now?)

a negative opinion of the highly lauded batman trilogy

Somebody was talking about their favorite Batman villain, and i admit it, i'm out of touch and also out of damns to give, i know who the Joker, Penguin, and many made up comic book character peoples are, but i'd never heard of "Bane". So Jamie says "Bane", and i was huh, the magician? because i assumed David Blaine, because why not is why. Anyway long story short, I did watch the whole latest Batman trilogy thing finally, and as it turns out

A: Bane is a super strong guy who has lung problems and wears an oxygen mask and has a really really funny voice that made me laugh whenever he spoke which also made me feel bad because although the voice was probably just made muffled and weird by his mask and because he is (or at least might be) vaguely European, on the other hand i can't shake the suspicion he may have had a serious speech impediment

B: David Blaine would have made a much much better villain

and 

C: The Christopher Nolan Dark Batman trilogy is bloated, trite, corny weakness that starts bad and just gets worse, it seriously frigging plummets, with gaping plot holes, wooden lines that clunk and also make other noises that wooden objects make when they drop and land on stuff and acting so atrocious i'm surprised more of the actors didn't end up trying to forget their failed performances by heavily abusing prescription drugs until they died (i can't believe i said that, ooooh too soon, just kidding... but plausible? no, just kidding. sorry).
