canon: sam is continuously shown eating various meat / fish / dairy foods (and happily eats "dean foods" like the burgers dean makes him) throughout the entire show, yes all the way to late s15. however, he is shown to avoid certain foods / food groups at different points in time. usually as a form of control / to give himself a sense of internal purification. this is not a healthy relationship to food.

conclusion: the answer you are looking for to describe sam's eating habits is not vegetarian / vegan. it's "fad diet health guru disordered eating"

I don’t think we should be hating on the angels too much for not understanding Castiel’s fascination and love for humans.  Castiel is canonically a beautiful and charismatic angel that many of them love.  The human version of this would be like:

‘Over there is the most beautiful of us, we vie for his attention daily.  But sadly he has fallen madly in love with a frog, most unnatural, but he screams when we take it away’.

Not gonna lie I kinda hate the compulsion in fandom to shove every relationship into rigid definition boxes. Every relationship is either parent-child, siblings or romantic. Come on. Relationships are so much more complex than that. Do you at least have friends.

truly some people have no genre savviness whatsoever. A girl came back from the dead the other day and fresh out of the grave she laughed and laughed and lay down on the grass nearby to watch the sky, dirt still under her nails. I asked her if she’s sad about anything and she asked me why she should be. I asked her if she’s perhaps worried she’s a shadow of who she used to be and she said that if she is a shadow she is a joyous one, and anyway whoever she was she is her, now, and that’s enough. I inquired about revenge, about unfinished business, about what had filled her with the incessant need to claw her way out from beneath but she just said she’s here to live. I told her about ghosts, about zombies, tried to explain to her how her options lie between horror and tragedy but she just said if those are the stories meant for her then she’ll make another one. I said “isn’t it terribly lonely how in your triumph over death nobody was here to greet you?” and she just looked at me funny and said “what do you mean? The whole world was here, waiting”. current fan creation landscape is kinda like if you went to a party with a homemade cake and everyone takes a slice and silently thumbs up at you with no attempt to start a conversation except for occasionally some guy sits in the corner with a tape recorder critiquing the cake as though he was a restaurant critic and another guy is handing the cake to an uber driver like "yeah i need you to find a restaurant that makes cake like this so i can have more of it" and the only person that's talked to you in 30 minutes is a very sweet little guy who was like "hey i liked your cake" and then ran away apologizing for bothering you the moment you said thank you.

someone brought a cake analysis robot to feed the cake into to determine the exact ingredients and supposedly it can spit out the exact same cake. and if you're like dude. what. then they're like well if it bothers you you should have made more cake. i'm hungry and i deserve cake. and you're like dude we're at a party.
