Out of all the things, and all the people that could find him, she was the last he’d want to seek him out. The first he’d want to see, in truth, despite all of it. Tangled in the woods, mangled willingly by it’s inhabitants, he steps forward.
“I hate you… I fucking hate you.”
She flops onto her side, tired from all the running she's been doing trying to find Godric. This rescue mission was, of course, a flop. He probably won't even want to go home, and Eric will chop her head off. Hell, Cat will chop her own head off.
"Yeah, well, that's valid. You worried people. More specifically, your father and me. I was sent to find you." Catalina sits up, bunches of grass now stuck in her hair. She doesn't bother to try and cover anything, for its nothing he hasn't seen before. Er, maybe it is. It's still unclear if he has all of his memories back.
"Just.. go back to Fangtasia. Let him know you're okay. I'll be out of your hair, if that's what you want."
”How would being a hobo get you ass?”
"Some people really want to help the homeless. Being a smart man, I didn't question it."
Twenty-eight hours and a handful of states later, Catalina came to a stop. The smell was stronger now then it had been before, but there was no one else in the woods. The wolf shook its body to get any dirt out of their fur, and shifted back to human form.
And... she was naked. Shit.
ERIC FUCK U THOSE JEANS COST 200 DOLLARS
”—No!”
"Good, I didn't want to pretend to be a hobo. I would--- but only for booze or ass. That's my rule."
”And after all that you choose now to respect his wishes? The damage has been done. You can’t be any worse off. Find him.”
"Make up your mind. Do I stay away or not?" Catalina cracks her back, and groans. "Just.. these are new jeans, okay?"
In a quick motion, she takes off the jeans and passes them to Eric. "I'll find him by Tuesday, the latest." With that, she starts to run towards a nearby car, shifting into a wolf halfway there. The wolf howls, and runs off into the woods in search of her ex.
”You look like a hobo.”
"If I say I am, will I get some booze?"
He may not be as pretty as his sister, but...
"Anyone care t'buy me a drink?"
It's worth a try.

❛ Where is he? ❜ He hasn’t seen him since the impending breakdown that came after speaking to Catalina.
"I don't know, Eric. He told me to never talk to him again, and ran off." She sighed, running her fingers through her hair. "I haven't seen him since."
i need to rewatch the 100 because all i can think about is all the badass ladies
“I can’t say I blame you, it’s not a job everyone has but it’s helped me pay the bills since ‘ve been here. Plus I love it, y’know? And ‘m bloody good.” He was rambling, why he had no clue, but it was the first time he’d ever felt like he had to validate his job with someone before.
“Yea, well ‘m not the dinner type a guy, so if that’s what you’re lookin’ for you’re gonna be disappointed,” he replied with a wink. Rayne knew she was joking and so was he, for the right person he was definitely the dinner date type of guy. His lips pressed together and his eyes narrowed at her before letting out a soft scoff. “You’re a bloody pain in the arse, y’know that, Cara?”
Cara doesn't say anything more about the stripping. He seems awfully quick to defend his job, so she isn't going to bother him about it anymore. Besides, she never said there was anything wrong with being a stripper. Money is money.
"Too bad, I was hoping you'd take me out for a nice fancy meal." A small laugh falls from her lips, and she can't help but grin at Rayne. "Y'know, a smart man would have tried to figure out if I was a pain before offering to take me out on the town."
❛ Don’t! Don’t give me that, Cat. Because I woke up one morning and I knew nothing and there were clothes in my home. OUR home that weren’t mine and I waited. I waited until someone walked through the door. Someone who recognized me and could tell me who I was and that it’d be alright. You took your pictures down but you forgot your stupid clothes. ❜ And that was heartbreaking. Knowing that above all else, that in the midst of his memory loss, someone left him. They left him and forgot to take one reminder. Discarded clothing that they didn’t want just like him.
It killed him to know that deep down, he wasn’t enough. She left him in the end because he wasn’t enough. He wasn’t enough of a companion nor lover to keep her around.
❛ What did I do? What did I ever do? ❜ The memories. most of what he lost come circling back, hardly in order, hardly making sense to himself. It’s like information being forced to him as he’s tied to a chair and each word, sat in a spoon and shoved in his mouth.
❛ Why wasn’t I ever enough for you? ❜
She doesn't say anything.
She doesn't say anything because there is nothing to say. Nothing he wants to hear right now, anyway. I'm a bad lover, Godric. But he knows that. The poor soul in front of her knows first hand how terrible she can be. Lets's count, shall we?
Cheating, leaving, abandoning, breaking up, not talking, disappearing, choking up, holding back emotions, not speaking her mind, not letting him in, not trusting he won't leave her like the rest. Not trusting him to be different.
Yeah, Godric knows that she isn't any good. Catalina, however, knows that he is much better than her. He believed in her, and loved her, throughout all of this bullshit. The problem wasn't that he was never enough, it was that he was too good. Cat didn't trust it. The werewolf grew up on abandoned hopes and dead lovers, so of course she would be a shit girlfriend.
"You were always enough. I just knew that I wasn't." Shut up, screams a voice in her head. This will make nothing better. You still made a decision for him, guessed he would start to hate you. You never let him stick around long enough to decide for himself what he thinks of you. It isn't your place to make those assumptions.
"I... I'm sorry. You've always deserved better than a fuck up like me, Godric. I was afraid of you realizing that and leaving me, so I tried to always be the first to run."
