==> Aranea: Arrive
-
Terezi was having more than her share of fun so far in the new school year. So far, she had gained a smattering of new friends and romances, along with a few pseudo-rivals here and there. All in all the school served as a good environment for her to expand her horizons and broaden her sphere of influence.
Sure, some of her friends and rivals were nothing more pragmatic networking in an attempt to gain as many advantages as possible in her social group, but she’d never admit that.
Currently, she was sitting at the center-most chair in the lobby common; a brown, plushly stuffed leather affair with excellent upholstery and cream tinged stitching. Something about this chair did wonders for Terezi’s creative juices, and she was currently staring at her laptop screen, tapping away at the keys, in an effort to formulate the perfect transition from her current project’s opening sound clip to the exquisitely heavy drop that followed shortly after.
She didn’t even notice the change in the room’s energy, or the painfully familiar scent that began commingling with the relatively still and bland air of the common.
Terezi. Ugh, anybody but her. Even Meenah would have been a better prospect. At least Meenah didn't stick her nose into places it shouldn't be in. Terezi's own damned inquisitiveness oftentimes gave Aranea great pause -- always so bloody close to seeing through her guises.
Once more, she strengthened her "cheery" resolve, and approached Terezi with a wave. "Hello, Terezi! Long time, no see! How are you doing?" Not that she cared, of course -- she never did.
