dear Auntie Jilli, I may need some help. I found out from a fellow goth I met online that a city nearby hosts goth parties every month, and I really want to go (my city has a tiny alt scene, but I haven't seen much in terms of gatherings or communities), and the problem is I... can't really dance. I've never been to a real goth club. can you recommend me some resources on dancing and such that I could use so I won't stick out like a sore thumb on the dancefloor?

My first bit of advice is don't worry about sticking out. Anyone dancing is going to be too busy doing that to look at you. With that said, here are some videos that pass the Auntie Jilli "yes, that's what we did Back In The Day" standards.

Happy 20 years of Decemberunderground! AFI's 7th studio album was released on June 6th, 2006.

This is the album that introduced me to AFI (one of my favorite bands as a teen), so it holds a special place in my heart. I can't believe it's been 20 years now. What's your favorite track off the album, or favorite memory associated with it?

With the power of various tools accumulated through years of transient hobbies, you too can turn one unusably long length of chain into 3 fashionable, usable pieces!

Seriously though I meant to do it months ago but only took the plunge yesterday. I love the style but it was way too long to be usable, so its now become:

A bracelet

A wallet chain

A necklace

I also took the sleeves off an old (& now full of complex emotions) shirt & I actually really enjoy how it turned out! Might have to do that to a few more for the summer 👀
