I needed a place to put my quotes and other stuff. A lot of these are just inspo for fics I had wanted to write. So forgive me if they seem a little odd or something.

(Civilian Iruka Au)

Sakumo: "You have a duty to these people. An obligation. How can you just abandon them so easily? It's like they are nothing to you."

Kakashi: "You speak as if you wouldn't do the same. If you could go back in time and actually choose between my mother and these wretched people, you would have chosen her every single time. I refuse to stay here and allow them to harm him like they did to her. I won't be burying his body in a land filled with the people who killed him. I'm not you."

[weallenduphere]

Iruka: "It's a little odd that Kakashi was so willing to 'fake date' me. Should I be concerned? Are you guys playing a prank on me?"

Tenzou: "You're funny. I can see why he likes you so much."

Iruka: "....."

(Later)

Iruka: "Why didn't you tell me that he was actually dating me!?! I thought he was just saying that to avoid being flirted with by that Chunin?!"

Anko: "I thought you knew?? It was so obvious that he had the hots for you!! HE PAID FOR YOUR DINNER! He never does that for anyone. He's a cheapskate."

Iruka: "He always does that?? Oh god. How long has this been going on? Am I that blind? Is that why Naruto kept asking me about what he looked like?"

Anko: "Wait, you've seen his face??"

Iruka: "You haven't???"

Anko: "So uh, what's the deal with you and Hatake?"

Iruka: "Remember when people would mind their own business? Let's bring that back. Right now."

Genma: "Someone is desperate."

Iruka: "Ha-ha. I mean it. Leave me alone. I don't have time for your guys games."

Kakashi: "God, you are so pretty when you're mean to me."

Iruka: "...."

Kakashi: "...."

Iruka: "You have a problem. You know that?"

Kakashi: "You're my problem."

Genma: "Please tell me that this is some warped joke? There is no way Umino and Hatake are together. How does that even work? Like when did they start hanging out together?"

Anko: "Oh man. You are behind the times. It's been at least six months. Probably even more than that but neither are the type to kiss and tell."

Izumo: "The only reason we all know is because Hatake came back from a very long mission and the minute he saw Umino, he picked the man up and practically spun him around. Guess he couldn't wait."

Anko: "You should have seen Iruka's face. He turned so red. It was like a cherry. I'm surprised he didn't yell at Hatake right there."

Izumo: "He probably missed him too. They are lovers."

Random Jonin 1: "I think I might ask out that one cute Academy teacher. The one who works at the mission desk."

Random Jonin 2: "The one with the scar across his face? I would not do that."

Random Jonin 1: "What!- Why?"

Random Jonin 2: "Pretty sure Hatake has his eyes, or well, eye on him."

Random Jonin 1: "Are you sure? How long has that been going on? I still might have a chance. After all, the man always smiles at me when I-"

Anko: *Laughs* "I wouldn't think about it. They passed that phase a long time ago. I think Kakashi is going to propose any day now."

Random Diplomat: "Are you sure that is the man who raised Naruto, the Hokage? He seems... I don't know the kindest way to explain it."

Sakura: "Just watch."

*Kakashi walks up to Iruka while holding some takeout.*

Random Diplomat: Is that-?"

Sakura: "Shhh."

Iruka: *Quickly perks up with a large grin on his face* "Please tell me that's Ramen I'm smelling. I would die for some Ramen right now. I would die a happy man. All for some Ramen. If it's not, then you should give that to someone else so we can go get some. I know that Ichiraku Ramen is opened right now."

Random Diplomat: "Oh yeah, I see it now. That's 100% him. My bad."

(Later)

Sasuke: "I can't believe that worked."

Sakura: "It has worked 42 times now. Kakashi Sensei thinks it's hilarious that this is the only way they will believe it. Naruto gets offended by it but is quickly appeased by the thought of Iruka Sensei getting Ramen. Iruka Sensei doesn't really seem to care. If anything, he seems happy about it. He gets free Ramen and to see his husband. It's probably a win-win scenario in his books."

Kakashi: "Please tell me that's not Iruka. I can't do this if it's Iruka."

Genma: "Sorry dude, that is your lover dancing on the table."

Kakashi: "Why is he even here?"

Genma: "Apparently it's the annual Chunin meet up. Whatever that means."

Kakashi: "I guess they all get drunk and just do stupid shit. Oh great. Now he's climbing a tree."

Anko: "It's actually pretty fun. I've been invited as an honorary guest a couple of times. If they are this drunk, then that means someone brought out some good old moonshine. Probably Tsubaki. Her family has a killer recipe. It's totally worth the hangover if you ever get to try it."

Genma: "Tsubaki?"

Anko: "One of Iruka's friends. He's pretty protective over her."

Kakashi: "Makes sense. She was Mizuki fiancée. They probably bonded over- well you know. Anyway, I'm going to go grab Iruka and take him home before he falls out of that tree or something. See ya."

Tsunade: "So, you're the famous Chunin I've been hearing about. I wonder.."

Iruka: "Uh, famous? I think you might be mistaking me with someone else."

Tsunade: "Is your name not Umino Iruka?"

Iruka: "It is. But I don't think I've done anything special to be talked about. Unless you want to speak about budget plans and school lessons. Or, I guess, how to file certain documents. I've been told that I'm pretty good at it."

Tsunade: "I've been told that you a have special... ability to keep a certain man in the hospital."

Iruka: "...."

Iruka: "I cannot agree or disagree. It all depends on his mood."

Tsunade: "Damn."

(Civilian Iruka Au)

Random elder: "You must understand that you are marrying into a high-status clan. Specifically, the only heir. Act like it."

Iruka: *Turns to Kakashi* "Is there something you want to tell me? Maybe something that you left out about your family?! Because this isn't what you told me!"

Kakashi: *Glares at the elder* "Who gave you permission to speak to him like that? Scram. I'll deal with you later."

Kakashi: *Turns to look at Iruka* "I love you. Please don't leave me. I'll explain everything to you."

(Watching Kakashi interact with Iruka from afar)

Genma: "So uh, are we gonna talk about this?"

Kotetsu: "I doubt that will do anything. If anything, it will just make Kakashi more secretive about it. Any gossip might make him.... Protective."

Anko: "I doubt that Iruka minds. He would have made it known if he did. Loudly."

Genma: "That man does have a good pair of lungs on him."

(Eating food Iruka made for dinner)

Kakashi: "Hey, did you change how you usually make this?"

Iruka: "Oh yeah! I'm surprised that you noticed. I added some eggplant because Naruto mentioned you liked it.

Kakashi: *Tears in eye* "Oh. It's good. Really good."

Iruka: "Are you ok?!"

Kakashi: "Perfect, just perfect. Thank you."

Iruka: "It's kind of sweet that he followed us here."

Izumo: "I think you need to get your brain checked. I don't see how it's sweet that your not-boyfriend is stalking us."

Iruka: "He's just worried. It is odd that we were the ones requested to complete this delivery. Who knows what that person's intentions are? Plus, yours also followed us here."

Izumo: "What?!"

Kakashi: "You smell like ink and rain. It's oddly soothing."

Iruka: "Oh- uh, thank you?"

Kakashi: "You're welcome."

[weallenduphere]

Anko: "Why don't you just ask Kakashi? I'm sure he would be more than delighted to help you out."

Iruka: "I don't like that tone of voice you're using. What are you implying?"

Anko: "Nothing. I'm just saying that Kakashi would be more than willing to buy you some new clothes. Especially, if he gets to watch you play dress up."

Izumo: "Did you only bring one sleeping bag?"

Iruka: "No comment."

Izumo: "No, no. I think it's sweet that you guys share one. I'm just wondering how you found one big enough to share?"

Iruka: "Kakashi had it custom made. You gotta ask him where he got it."

Izumo: "Oh, will do."

Izumo: "You know, I'm surprised that Kakashi is dating Iruka. I never would have thought that the strict Sensei was his type."

Kotetsu: "Just between you and me but I'm pretty sure that Kakashi has had a semi crush on Iruka since they were teenagers.

Izumo: "What- How?"

Kotetsu: You know how Iruka was a little spitfire when he was younger? Well apparently, he used to prank a certain Anbu all the time."

Izumo: *Gasp* "Nooooo...."

Kotetsu: Yes. I'm pretty sure Kakashi was devastated when Iruka stopped. I guess it's really hard to find reasons to interact with the everyday Shinobi as an Anbu when they aren't searching for you and are doing nothing wrong."
