I’m a background character in everyone’s life. I’m not important to anyone. I don’t even matter.
I just want to leave like I never existed.
I don’t want anyone to remember me,
I don’t want to hurt anyone.
Youre the last person I thought would leave. The last goodbye I'd ever have to make.
You warmed my heart so much each day and found my smile when it was lost.
You helped teach me how to enjoy my self, and encouraged me to try new things.
You showed me where to explore myself and excepted me as I am.
You never once asked to change who I was or tell me who to be.
I let you open and keep my heart for ever will you hurt it. I can't believe its you right now whose life has surely flourished.
Leaving behind this old friend is something to regret. All I did was make you laugh and pleased you before you brushed me away.

it’s been months since I last posted. And I have to admit it is due to a relapse where I completely gave up any idea of recovery.
My development and diagnosis of anorexia came directly after being diagnosed with PTSD; in the last few months, my trauma symptoms have gotten out of control, and in that my eating disorder grew beyond my control as well.
After finally admitting to myself that in order to recover, I needed to see someone for my trauma as well. I’ve found someone who looks good and specializes in PTSD recovery, so hopefully that will go well.
Regardless, it’s tough as fuck right now. But I want to live, succeed, go to grad school, experience the good and the bad. So I’ve decided to give recovery another try.
dear self,
killing yourself isn’t the answer. you’ll be missed, no matter what your brain says. everything will be alright.
isolation won’t help. communicate, people do care. everything will be alright.
your body needs the calories. don’t punish yourself for eating. everything will be alright.
you won’t feel like this forever. everything will be alright.
your writing isn’t awful. you’re not measured by your daily word count. everything will be alright.
just take a breath. you’re not choking. you’re not dying. get out of bed, take a shower. drink some water. everything will be alright.
alternatively, go to bed. try to get some rest. you’ll feel better if you do. it’s not a waste of time to sleep. take your meds. everything will be alright.
you’re not defined by your trauma. this body is yours and you need to take care of it. everything will be alright.
your today is not your tomorrow. :)
Just because you're "not as bad as you used to be" doesn't mean you don't deserve help!
You are worthy of love, understanding, and kindness, no matter where you are in your recovery process 💖
seeing a therapist is not shameful
No matter what terrible things you have been through, no matter how many hard days you have experienced, no matter how hard you have hit rock bottom, you are still here, my love. And that is what matters. You made it through every single hardship and every time you came out stronger, wiser, better. What you have been through does not define you. What defines you is that you fought through incredibly tough times and made it out alive. You are a warrior. A fighter. You are wonderful. Thank you for holding on. The world needs someone like you. You are a light. I love you.
