wanda had been hurting, but she had gotten used to being hurt. it had been some time since she had actually been happy- like, genuinely happy. she had a few fond memories with an old flame that she had broken up with on her own terms, claiming that she needed to work on herself before they became anything serious, when in reality wanda was pushing them away because she didnât want to drag them into her own sorrowful world that she had created for herself. they still ran in similar circles, so it wasnât like they had stopped talking to each other completely, but wanda did try to attempt to move on by seeing someone else. it was a bad recipe that night- first, her job tried to undermine her responsibility, claiming that wanda needed more training in the field before getting back behind a mic - what a punch to the gut that was. then she gets a âi think we need a breakâ text that she didnât even bother responding to. from there, things seemed to spiral out of her control and all she wanted was to get a grip onto her own reality. it was almost ten at night when she knocked on their door, knowing they were home by a few lights on in the home and their car in the driveway. sheâs having flashbacks about how they were able to ease a laugh out of her, or make her feel like she was worth more than she ever considered herself for. even if it was fleeting, sheâs desperate to that back into her life. wandaâs eyes are a bit wide when the door swings up. she knows sheâs being a bit radical but that doesnât stop her from slowly stepping forward and gently bringing the back of her fingers to the side of their face. âhi.â her voice cracked before wanda brought her face in closer, giving their lips a quick peck- trying to familiarize herself with their pattern all over again as she pulled her head back, studied their face for just a second, before swooping her lips back in with a punch of passion, taking even her own breath away.
