The last 6 months have been amazing.

I found music again.

I found a group of people that support me in this journey, which has been my favorite part of this whole experience. I sing every day now, to people who love me, and to strangers, and to and for myself.

I downloaded a karaoke app out of boredom and used it as a tool to overcome my stage fright. It has virtual “rooms” you can go to and chat with other users, and sing live in them. A couple months in me and one of the guys I’ve become close with opened our own room for our friends and we sing together almost every day. I’m working on the courage to go to an open mic night. I feel like it’s the next step in this process for me to share my love of music.

Do you ever just… crave the forest? Like you feel like you NEED to be in a forest. The crisp cold air with just a sweater on, looking at the red and orange foliage in the autumn. In the winter the frigid and empty branches. The summer all the green. The spring the smell of rain and the mud. God I love the forest.
